Her Scent...

Alexander's eyes shone the deepest shade of red. Black veins could be seen slowly appearing on his neck. If anger was a scent, it had engulfed the entire room.

It is already an hour now and no one seems to track his little sheep's location, Including Ethan. His blood boils like never before. He had been calling her back since he received that phone call but it was not reachable.

At that moment,Ethan entered his his room. Without wasting a second, he made a bow immediately.

"Did you find anything..?" Alexander asked quickly. His voice alone is enough to make a person shrink in total fear.

"Yes Alpha, I couldn't track it earlier because the location has a barrier and it..." Ethan couldn't finish what he was about to say when...

"Where is it..?" Alexander asked interrupting him.

"Dark North... Dark North's coven forest.." Ethan said.

Immediately Alexander heard that, he rushed out of the room like a flash, leaving Ethan's mouth hanged open.

What could be the reason the Alpha sped off like that...?

It couldn't be what he's thinking... could it?

In Ethan's mind, he has never seen Alexander used that type of speed pace in his entire life. And seeing it for the first time, he couldn't help but wonder what could be the reason.

However...

Wait... Is Alexander planning to run to Dark North...?!

On foot..?!

Immediately the thought hit Ethan, his eyes widened...

"He can't possibly...!"

*******

Alexander sped towards country D, and in about forty five minutes, he arrived there. He was sweating profusely and panting; his complexion was pale.

It was obvious he was out of energy but his face showed no expression.

However...

Twenty minutes later, he arrived at Dark North clan. He needed no one to show him around and also didn't need a soothsayer to tell him what to do.

He didn't hesitate to make his way into the clan's coven forest. But however, from where was he going to start looking for his little sheep. The forest was big and to make matters worse it was already night and the moon was no where in sight as it was about to rain.

Alexander went further and further into the forest but only ended up coming back at the same place. He decided leaving trails at the places he had gone through and at the same the result remained the same. It was at that point that something hit him.

The clan... is a witch clan.

What was he expecting from the renowned clan of witches?

If he were to find Kimberly easily, then the cave would have been found easily too.

There's a barrier spell in the forest that no one except the members of the clan's coven can undo.

Then...

What do he do..?

Alexander was no wizard to undo any spell and he was not with any witch to undo the spell.

But however...

Sighing deeply, he decided to track her using the only method he could think of.

Her scent...

Slowly...  He shifted in to his wolf form, what he has not done for two centuries...

"Hoooowwl..." His wolf Sebastian Howled loudly immediately he shifted. Well, no one could blame him, Alex had kept him locked up for no reason for the past two centuries and it was not easy for him in there.

Closing his eyes, he inhaled deeply.

To him, Kimberly's scent was stronger than any other scent and he just needed to concentrate more on the scent and he would be able to track her.

After going around in circles for about thirty more minutes, he finally tracked at miry part of the forest and fortunately, the place was out of the barrier.

With the way she laid, no one could see her in that darkness, not with the black cloak she was putting on. Thankful he had found her with the help of her scent.

When he got to her, he saw her laying unconscious on the swampy ground with her phone in her hand.

Alexander shifted back immediately.

"Kim..." He called and tapped her cheek but there was no response. This would the first timed he'd call her by her name and it sounded strangely sweet on his lips.

He collect her phone from her and pocketed it. Lifting her up, he carried her in a bridal style. He took a look at her face, she was unusually pale and looked very weak.

Before he could take his eyes off her face, his eyes caught the red fingerprints on her neck. His eyes darkened and he turned his murderous gaze towards the cardinal part of the forest, where he suspected would be the clan's coven.

Slowly, a dark smirk formed on his lips and he sworn hatefully...

"If anything happens to my woman..., I swear... everyone of you will pay..."

Without further ado, Alexander sped out of the forest with his little sheep in his arms.

~~ FLASHBACK ENDS ~~

And that was it.

Kimberly could help but sigh, so that was how she ended up at the old man's hut.

She thought staring at the man whose deep emerald orbs were fixed down at her in an utmost silence. Kimberly couldn't comprehend the feeling she felt at that moment. She felt thankful and as well felt strangely comfortable.

He would be the second person she'd be indebted to in this her lifetime. Or was it fate that she'd mistakenly called him..?

However...

In the next second, Kimberly broke the awkward silence.

"Then.."

"We are even.." she blurted out.

Hearing this, Alexander was left dumbfounded and even Kimberly on the other hand was also dumbfounded at her own words. The words she just said rang over and over her head.

Did she just say that..? She thought inwardly. Well..., no one could blame her nature made her like that and her arrogance was on another level.

However...

Was that supposed to be a compliment or a say of thanks..? Alex thought speechlessly as all Kimberly did was stare at him. He was sitting on the wooden couch with his legs crossed, his arms crossed his chest and he was staring directly at her.

Kimberly cleared her throat, trying to ease the tension that was slowly building again in the hut. Alex didn't say a word and only scoffed...

"We're even.. seriously?"

"Yes.. we are... You have compensated me for bumping into me at the..." The grumbling of her stomach made her stop talking abruptly.

Her eyes widened and her cheeks flushed in embarrassment.

Did he hear that?

It was obvious that he did because a smirk found its way to his lips.

"I think that's from... You," Kimberly stuttered, looking away in embarrassment.

"Me..? Seriously..?" His lips curved to the side in an amused smile.

"My stomach doesn't grumble..." she said and Immediately her stomach grumbled again. This time louder and her eyes shut tightly in embarrassment. She lowered her head to the floor, covering her face with her hair.

She was goddamned hungry..!
