"So..., I wrote a letter back to the West Crescent pack.." Roman said and Alex frowned. They were in his study room at the castle.

Roman and Ethan had arrived at the castle the day Alex Woke up and had caught Kimberly sneaking towards the cottage. They'd decided to let him rest first before bring up the clan matters, thus they had to stay at Alex's quarters.

"I thought I told you not to.." He said with a frown.

"It was my mistake killing his nephew out of anger but if he doesn't appreciate the apology, then I will take the blame." Roman said.

"You like doing things your own way, don't you..? Roman.." Alex muttered with that Alpha tone.

"I'm sorry, Alpha.." Roman said sincerely and Alex nodded.

However...

*WRITING THE APOLOGY TO THEM IS NOT A BAD IDEA REALLY, EVEN THOUGH I CAN'T WAIT SETTLE SCORES WITH THAT ILD MAN, LET'S JUST WAIT FOR HIS RESPONSE, DON'T YOU THINK?* Sebastian said and Alex nodded.

"I know Sebastian will definitely agree with me.." Roman said knowingly and Alex scoffed.

It was followed by silence.

*I MISS MATE,HER SCENT IS MAKING ME GO CRAZY ALREADY, CAN WE GO SEE HER??* Sebastian asked impatiently.

*SHE'S DEFINITELY BUSY WITH HER BEST FRIEND* Alex replied.

*BUT I WANT HER RIGHT NOW, EVEN HER VOICE IS ENOUGH PLEASE* Sebastian whined.

*NO..*

Alex shook his head and ignored him totally. He was missing Kimberly badly too but he decided to allow her spend enough time with her best friend, unlike his horny wolf who doesn't care about anything going on.

A minute later, Ethan spoke up.

"There's something you need to know, Alpha." Ethan said.

"What is that..?" Alex asked without looking up at him.

"We caught a spy at the pack house.."Ethan said.

Instantly, Alex and Roman looked up at him at once.

"What?!" Roman asked eye widened, he was shocked.

How can someone dare to spy on the Alpha?!

Was the person wishing death..?!

"A spy?!" He asked.

Ethan nodded and Alex's eyes narrowed slightly.

"He is now in the dungeon at the pack house.." He said.

"Do you have proof?" Alex calmly asked the only question he had.

"Yes Alpha..." Ethan said and Alex nodded.

"We will go to the pack house tomorrow.."

Suddenly, Came his voice.

~~ NORTH MOON, PACK HOUSE ~~

~~ THE NEXT DAY ~~

Alex, his beta Ethan and Roman arrived at the pack house and without wasting much time, they headed towards the dungeon.

The dungeon was a heavily guarded place surrounded by about ten metallic stall walls and also a barrier made with Herculean bane as a defense for trespassing.

It was more like a tower, whoever goes in doesn't come out ever again which was why it was still a wonder on how Magnus was able to escape the dungeon.

They were led by Dimitri as they walked towards where the spy was held captive.

They walked towards the cell unhurriedly and scrunched in on the spot where Dimitri led them to that it was where the so called spy was to be kept..

They trotted down the dark stairs and went deeper down to another stairs which led to where the cells were.

It was a dark, gloomy and cold place with depressing feelings lingering in the air..

There was no way the rays of sunlight and fresh air could penetrate in that place, which was causing the bad smell to reek inside the dungeon.

The only lights in the hallway were coming from some of the old lanterns that were hanging on the stone walls at intervals.

Once anyone sets foot in there, they probably would think they'd traveled back to centuries ago, to the time of Hercules and Xena, the warrior princess.

Nothing had even the slightest touch of modernization down there and the supreme Alpha doesn't even seem to plan to change any of that.

The moment they entered, all the werewolves, which were mostly omegas and half breeds who were standing guards lowered their gazes when they saw the supreme Alpha.

Making an eye contact with the Alpha was considered an act of disrespect for wolves and that was the last thing they would ever want to happen to them.. not with the supreme Alpha. Only the dominating aura that comes naturally from the supreme Alpha was enough to make them wither away in fear...

However, at that moment...

Ethan and Roman who were silently following the Alpha began squeezing their faces in disgust. Roman rubbed his nose repeatedly, Ethan who couldn't take the disgusting smell anymore wanted to threw up right there but a glare from Alex made him swallow it instantly.

They stopped at the first cell that was at the hallway, immediately the two guards in front of it bowed slightly in respect and quickly opened the cell door.

It was the cell where the spy was being retained. On the spy were three thick silver chains made with Wolf bane which were used to torture and subdue the spy.

Two were in his both hand, while one was on his neck...

Looking at him, Alexander's eyes darkened.

His emerald eyes scanned around the entire cell without moving an inch from where he stood and his eyes finally landed on the young man on the ground..

He wanted to move closer to him but his eyes suddenly caught something unusual on the body of the spy and Alex's eyes narrowed.

None in all the guards working at the pack house was a full breed except for the omegas, who are known as the weakest wolf.

But from what he is seeing right now, this man in front of him was neither a half breed nor an omega but it was still unknown to the duo behind him.

How did he know..?

Well.., the Wolf bane that was on him was how he found out. With how many days Ethan said they caught the spy and had him kept inside the cell. The Wolf bane on him was supposed to have done a lot of damage to his skin by now. But looking at the young man in front of him, the Wolf bane on him hasn't done much to his skin where the wolf banes were touching and he also doesn't even look like someone in pain.

The Wolf bane was supposed to have burnt his skin severely and still burning but to Alex's observation, the spy's skin wasn't burnt to the expected degree.

It was at that moment that his lips curled upwards as he stared at the spy... He already knew who and what the spy was....

"Hmmm..." Alex hummed with deadly smirk.

"Sending a coated sloth into my territory years ago wasn't enough for him and now he sent you..?" Alex asked, his voice as cold as ice.

However....

Immediately the spy heard what Alex said, his once face filled with fake agony and pain turned into smirk...

His face and body began to change into his real physical features...

*IS HE A SHAPESHIFTER?* Roman mind linked both Ethan and Alex.

*I DON'T KN....*

*NO.., HE WAS COATED WITH A SPELL TO LOOK LIKE THE GUARD* Alex Mind Link back to them and immediately their eyes widened.

There were such things like that?!

Not long after, the spy finished changing back to his original self and stood up with a deep smirk on his face...

However the moment, Ethan and Roman say who he really is, their eyes widened in shock especially Roman's and....

"Y-YOU?!" He hollered in anger but the spy's attention was on Alex who was closer to him.

"Long time no see, Friend.." He muttered as he hid a scornful smirk.

"SETH DARMON?!" Ethan muttered in shock as he stared at the man in front of him.

He was none other than the man that had Camilla, Roman's mate bitten!

What?!

Ethan couldn't believe his eyes as he stare at the man in front them. Roman had told him about what happened the other day at the club and he being a curious type had went deeper into the case, looking up for the latter. After his findings, he realized that Roman had indeed fought with a rogue lord!

However...

Alex remain calmed as he stared at the man in front of him, for many years he'd he known him, they never had a feud with each other and had never crossed each other's boundaries. But recently, He'd heard of what he did to Roman's mate at his club and now he had the guts to enter his territory as a spy in disguise...!

His Guts!

But however..

That moment Alex saw Seth reveal his real identity, he was quick to sense something off....

Why would a rogue lord agree to be used as a spy?

At that moment...

Realization dawn on Alex, the only person Seth will ever work for will never be anyone else other than Don Illinois...

Why? Because he wants something in exchange...

But what could that be...?

What could Seth want that he had to work as a spy in a dead zone like his clan..?

With that and without a word, Alex began walking out of the cell and instantly Ethan and Roman followed but not without casting a hard glare in Seth who had a surprised look on his face.

Well, why wouldn't he be when Alex suddenly walked into his cell and stared at him for what seemed like eternity. And without a word, he suddenly turned and left.

This wasn't the expected...!
