Wara dug her fingers into a scale on the shoulder of the creature, gripping tightly so she might not fall.
She held her breath as the first wave hit them, hitting the others who had found a place to hold onto.
She gasped for breath as she raised her head up since the creature was not fully submerged in the water anymore.
Then the second wave, bigger than the first hit them, violently submerging even the large creature into the water for a while.
Wara could feel her skin peel as she held on for dear life so she was not shaken off. She then felt the creature move and it began to swim.
Because of the movement of the creature, Wara was plunged into the water. She tried to hold on tightly but failed when the creature began to move at an insane speed in the water.
And when she thought she could finally hold on, it suddenly shot forward so quickly that the water felt like sharp knives to Wara, enhancing her new found fear of the water further.
After a while, it became quite taxing to hold her breath but Wara knew she could not try to move from her position lest she lost her grip and was forever lost in the water. And so, she suffered.
Her lungs began to scream for air and her ears felt like they would explode. But when she thought it was over and rose up to gasp for air, the creature shot forward even faster, causing her to be violently hit by and plunged into the water, further increasing her suffering.
Wara could feel her fingers being cut and bleeding but the pain seemed miniscule compared to the intense pain of her lungs that had been restricted of air.
After what seemed like days, the creature suddenly disappeared and Wara began to think it was the end. There were no scales to grab onto. There was nothing.
Waves hit her but they were not as violent as the ones before. However long ago that was, Wara had no idea.
She frantically searched around, looking for something to pull her up and after a long while of sluggish movement, her head broke through the surface.
She took in a large gulp of air but the wicked, mindless water followed behind and rushed into her mouth then she was plunged down into the water again.
She struggled to go upwards even though her sense of direction had been severely densed. At long last, she reached the surface and tried to swim forwards, only to be pulled back down by a wave.
She tried again the third time and the same thing happened.
This repeated itself for a while and soon Wara stopped trying. After a while of letting the waves swing her about, she tried again only to be pushed backwards this time.
She fought as relentlessly as a tired person could and managed to pull herself upwards once more but then she could hear the wicked, mindless water rush forward with sadistic glee to push her back again. With that, she let out a muffled frustrated scream.
She was too tired to think straight and just when she was about to give up, her feet hit the sand.
For a while, her exhausted mind did not register what this meant until a strong hand plunged into the water and pulled her up.
Her tired and unfocused eyes barely registered the silhouette of the beautiful lady that had saved her before she began to convulse.

Yhra sat atop the head of the creature as it shot through the water with terrifying speed.
She had yet to spot Wara who had still been holding onto the shoulder scales when the creature had been submerged in the water.
Before it had dived, Fjammi had moved them to the head where it would be better for them when it was in the water. Pax was supposed to have told Wara to come up but Wara never appeared.
And right before they plunged in, Yhra had heard Wara's terrified scream.
The whole night, they had shot through the water. Although it was quite the hard pull to swallow, Yhra knew there was no way she would have survived the waves.
The waves of the waters became cursed on the first and last day of Dies Lucis. No one could survive in it. And even if they did, the moment they breathed air again, they died.
Yhra's thoughts were confirmed when the creature suddenly shrank back into Zelda and everyone scrambled out of the water but there was no Wara.
Before Yhra could however, open her mouth to speak, she became distracted by Zelda. Everyone was.
She was naked, which was understandable but that was not the cause of attraction, rather it was her skin.
It glistened and glowed in the water, unconsciously drawing Yhra to her. Her pull was like a nymph's but it was stronger. Almost like she was bewitching everyone.
Then Yhra remembered what she was or rather, what she had become.
She had inherited a siren's gift. Her mother had been gifted by the siren and then she had been born not long after, effectively passing the gift to her.
The song of death.
Yhra thought the stories were just that, stories.
They spoke of a woman from a foreign land who had bewitched the prince. She was nothing but a mere servant but had captured his heart and when she sang, his enemies fell.
Yhra did not understand why Zelda was called a Siren until this sight.
Then she looked up to find Zelda directly looking at her. "If you ever need my 'help' just ask!" Zelda yelled and then she walked out of the water.
Yhra stared at her with bewilderment.
'was this woman not bound? How could she say that?'
Naturally, Yhra knew what Zelda meant. She was a nymph after all.
A creature that constantly needed sex for unknown reasons. At first, this was never so for the nymphs. They enjoyed it but never actually depended on it.
Until the Dies Lucis. Nymphs were cursed to forever seek sexual satisfaction to continue to function properly.
So Yhra was surprised that Zelda was offering to help. Sica normally helped, since he was someone with a wild sexual drive, it both went for their advantage.
Yhra knew who Zelda really was and she doubted Sica knew. She suspected Nak knew but had never confirmed it. Fjammi definitely knew as he seemed to close to her.
Pax knew since she strangely seemed to know almost everyone. And there was the wolf.
Although Yhra had been nearly obsessed with it, as soon as she had seen Zelda, all thoughts of it escaped her mind.
The wolf was suddenly not important anymore.
She had not yet noticed she was still sitting in the water with a dazed expression until Sica nudged her.
She immediately gathered herself up but turned to stare at Nak who had made quite the nasty comment. "If you want to have sex with her so bad then go ahead. After all both parties have freely exposed themselves."
Yhra did not care for Nak's butter attitude, but the moment it was directed towards her...
"I will find out why you hide so much." That was her response and then she trodded to the shore.
If this way any other person, that Statement would have been ignored but since it was Yhra and Nak had something to hide, he immediately felt threatened.
Yhra did not stop to see his reaction however, she instead walked forward until she heard a scream.
It was muffled and weak but it was there nonetheless. There was a waterfall nearby but it was not loud enough for it to be completely drowned out.
Yhra immediately turned back to sight Zelda walking back into the water, still naked. She tried not to stare at the woman but at what she was walking towards and that's when she saw it.
The water was trying to drown someone but the person was quite stubborn and was fighting back. Eventually, the person won and reached the shore but was too tired to stand.
That was when Zelda pulled the person up. The purple hair was matted to the face as they gasped for air but could not inhale it.
She continued gasping and when she tried to inhale again, her body began to jerk violently.
Yhra watched with great interest as Zelda's strong arms held Wara in place and obscene thoughts began to appear in her mind.
She wondered how strong those hands were and how they would feel on her. She immediately forgot how toxic Zelda's hands were and began to imagine them touch her.
Then she immediately stopped those thoughts. 'is it time already?' Yhra felt weak and her crave for sexual activity was high.
She considered accepting Zelda's offer until she saw Zelda open her mouth and grey smoke began to leave it.
Yhra immediately knew that if she was not Wara and she inhaled that smoke, she would receive quite the deadly injuries.
It clouded Wara and forced itself into her nose and mouth and soon, the convulsing stopped.
Wara immediately slumped. She looked like she had gone to war and escaped just by the teeth.
Her hands were mangled and pale. She was never pale but Wara looked as pale as the sand of the shore.
If not for the hair and the physique, Wara would have been unrecognisable.
Yhra watched Zelda carry Wara into a cave and not come out again.
By then, all others had regained themselves and were enjoying a warm fire Fjammi had set up with the gathered sticks. Although it was morning, everyone was cold from traveling in the water all through the night.
Yhra had not even noticed when Zelda had released all their belongings.
She absentmindedly walked back to them, changed out of her clothes and joined the fire.
She quietly received the roasted meat Fjammi passed her which had been prepared by Pax.
Although she did not trust the girl, she had heard it was the wolf that hunted it and all poisonous food, no matter how strong, was never a problem for Yhra.
After a good meal and some rest, Yhra found herself drawing near the cave where Zelda had been last seen.
The sun was already high up in the sky which told her quite a lot of time had passed yet no one had left the cave.
She kept thinking about Zelda's offer and then she entered the cave, only to find something that completely threw her hesitation about accepting the offer into the bottom of the sea.
Zelda stood there, as naked as she had been, and she was smiling.
"So you did come?" It was a question that needed no answer and both women knew this.
Yhra stared at the woman, almost bewitched and then sighed. "I need your help."
Zelda did not need anymore words. A few moments later, Yhra was in pure bliss.
All thoughts about Zelda's toxic hands were replaced with thoughts about how those hands instead were pure euphoria.
While both women were busy, they did not notice what was happening to the body behind them. Or only one did not as she was being pleased but soon she froze when she heard a voice.
"Such shameless acts."
