It's Over

The next day, Erin woke up to a lot of muffled arguing going on in the next room.

She looked around, Andreas room was a mess. Clothes and make up, shoes and bags everywhere.

Erin had a pounding headache from last night and Mrs.Lebowitz' voice was so loud.

Bang! Andrea burst in.

"Erin, sorry Ma is making a big deal about me bringing you home last night.

Come on get dressed, we're going to be late" Andrea threw a pair of jeans and a black blouse at Erin.

"Thanks Andy" Erin said as she looked at her stained white dress.

Erin went to the bathroom and quickly got ready.

She headed downstairs where she saw Mrs.Lebowitz preparing breakfast for Andrea's three younger brothers.

"Andrea! Don't forget you come home early today! Uh!.. Erin, you wanna eat with us? Very nice, very good food huh??!!" She said in such a loud voice.

"Oh thank you Mrs.Lebowitz, mam"

Erin was just glad to leave.

At the bus stop.

"I told your mom that you were staying with me last night," said Andrea.

"Thanks" replied Erin as they got on the bus.

Erin turned on her phone and found twenty-seven messages.

Oh.... Jackson.

When they arrived at the University, Erin saw a red Fiat parked in the parking lot.

Jackson was leaned against it with his arms folded.

"Hey.." said Erin shyly.

Andrea left for class and Erin and Jackson were alone.

"What happened last night? I called you a million times, then I went to your house this morning and your step dad told me that you spent the night at Andrea's."

" I know I'm sorry, I had a fight with my mom and then went out with Andy.." Erin stopped.

Jackson was pulling her hair away from her neck.

"What the heck is that!?" He said pointing at a huge hickey on Erin's neck.

Oh.. noo, Freddy had left a mark on her neck. Erin remembered now, the kiss with Freddy.

"What, no.. I was drunk, listen.." she stuttered.

"You made out with a guy last night?! I thought you loved me? I thought you were waiting for marriage or something, but you were just messing me around."

He said with tears running down his face.

His face went so red he punched his car hood and left a huge dent in it.

"Jackson! Stop! listen, I am sorry. I was wrong. But you have to know that I am leaving for China in a few weeks so we can't be together anymore." Erin cried with tears in her eyes.

"What, what do you mean China, why?" He was so confused.

His hand started to bleed.

"My mom is moving away and selling the house. She stopped paying my tuition and she is transferring me to Shanghai with my father..." Erin was sobbing now.

"What, can't you stay? Come live with me. I don't have much, but I can try

.." Jackson put his arms around Erin.

His blue eyes looked so sad.

"I'm sorry Jackson, you deserve better.

It's over."

Erin said plainly, holding in her emotions.

"Over?" he repeated.

Erin walked away and didn't look back.

She was silent all through class and Andrea gave her some space.

After University, Erin headed home on the bus.

When she opened the front door she saw lots of packing boxes.
