Are You Sick?

It was the early morning,

Erin set her alarm to go jogging before university.

Clothes on.

Water.

Shoes on.

Keys.

Erin forgot to check the weather before leaving the apartment. It was a dark, cold day with gloomy, gray clouds above.

As she ran, the chilly morning air hit her face.

Erin was almost half-way around the vast park when it started to rain lightly.

Too late to turn back, she thought.

So she kept going, her steps splashed as she ran and her t-shirt clung to her body.

Quickly, the light rain developed into a heavy shower and Erin could see the apartment nearby.

She pushed harder, moving faster and as she did so, slipped hard falling onto her back.

SMACK!

...

The pain shot up her back.

Erin felt a firm grip on her arm, and she opened her eyes to see a man helping her up.

"Do you need help?" he asked.

"No, I'm fine... thanks" she replied rubbing her back and struggling to get to her feet. The man wore expensive black shoes and a dark gray tailored suit.
