Over the next week Liam Yang searched the city for Jade.

He tried every hotel, stalked her friends' homes, and kept an eye on the Jiang mansion just in case she returned.

He started to worry that she may not come back. Advertising agents called to ask about her, and the press began to notice her absence in public.

Rumors began to circulate that she was taking time off because she was expecting a baby.

He tried dialling her number for the hundredth time.
