A Test of Patience

Over the next couple of weeks Dylan refused to join his parents for meals.

He continued to go to work everyday, but after work he returned to his empty apartment.

Emily stopped by with food, but didn't stay long.

Dylan tried to focus on work, and continued to handle things alone at Yang Group as Liam still hadn't returned from Canada.

He worked hard, scheduling every minute of the day for meetings, and in the evenings he met with investors and clients to discuss existing and new upcoming deals, in an attempt to occupy his mind, lest it wander and think about ... her.

Drowning his thoughts and feelings in liquor and burning his worries away like the black cigarette paper, he felt bitter.

So conflicted, he felt like he was going through some kind of break up, except he wasn't.

Now that June was his wife, he didn't want to forget about her or try to move on.

Plus not to mention, moving on, would be considered cheating as he was technically a married man.
