50 The Morning After

Lina woke the next day to the scratchy sound of a bag being zipped.

She emerged from under the covers, and for a second she had forgotten where she was.

"Did I wake you?" he said.

She sat up in the large bed, dressed in his baby blue shirt and patted down her hair in an attempt to look presentable.

He picked up the case and rolled it over to the door. Dressed in a pair of fitted gray slacks, black shirt and blazer, he looked dashing. The smell of his cologne filled the room and Lina felt her face blush, waking up in front of him like this wasn't exactly what she had expected.

Especially since the awkward, fight turned foreplay last night.

"What time is it?" she asked in a sleepy voice and looked around for a clock.

"It's early, but I have some papers to sign at the office before I leave."

She sighed when she remembered that he was leaving, "Right..." she said.

Her hands ran over the smooth sheets, nervously trying to distract herself from showing any kind of emotion.
