147 Make it Clear

William Zheng drove his Porsche to the Haidian District to see Lina. He hadn't warned her of his arrival but instead he wanted to catch her off guard and convince her of how silly this whole misunderstanding was.

The black car screeched to a halt and William removed the key from the ignition and lifted his shoe off the brake. Already starting to overheat, he removed his leather jacket and approached the building in a black v neck sweater and a pair of gray pinstripe slacks along with his polished black brogues.

This striking man stood out like a a sore thumb and a couple of nosy neighbors watched curiously from their windows as he lingered at the entrance of the building, pacing back and forth waiting for an opportunity to enter.

An old woman exited the building and William caught the electronic door before it closed.

"Good afternoon," he said charmingly, bowing to the old woman and letting himself inside.
