William gripped the steering wheel with both hands. His knuckles looked white from the tight grip, but his face was as calm as an ice-covered lake.

He couldn't afford to lose his calm, not when she was being so strong.

Lina sat in the passenger seat; reclined back the whole way and she held onto her seatbelt with both hands.

Her eyes were closed tightly and she bit her lower lip worriedly while the water she was sitting in continued to trickle slowly and didn't seem to be stopping.

"Are you having any pains?" William asked her with a hint of fear and concern in his eyes.

"Mhmm.." she nodded, almost silent and she pressed her head against the car door.

He heard her whimper quietly.

For a woman in pain, she was surprisingly quiet and her moans were muffled and held back.

"Just hold on honey," he said reaching out to touch her hand, "We're almost there."
