I was sitting on my bed looking out at the moon. Suddenly, the lights in my room turned on making me to panic.


I immediately stood up from my place and started walking towards my closet. "Mom, I was just about to sleep. I'm going to change okay." I was almost running to washroom when my way was blocked and to my surprise, it wasn't mom.


"Why are your eyes so red? Did you just cry?" When I saw Ken in front of me, I couldn't hold on any longer. I ended up bursting into tears in her arms.


"Hey, I came here directly from hospital so that you'd share what happened today. But you're crying. Are you okay Aly? What happened?"


She was caressing my back while I was crying holding her tight. 


"Aly, tell me what happened? Is everything alright? Did anything happen in prom?" She asked once I was a bit stable.
