Veronica's aunt's eyes were open, and she was also talking to the doctor, laying on the bed.

"Mom!!!" Veronica screamed and ran towards her. Ani looked at Veronica and smiled. "My child!" Ani said, while smiling a little. She was looking better than before, but still looked weak.

"Mom! You are finally awake!" Veronica said, while shedding tears. But they were the tears of joy. Ani somehow forwarded her hands to caress Veronica's cheeks. Veronica leaned a little, to feel the touch of her aunt.

Her aunt caressed her cheeks and started stroking Veronica's hair. Ani was crying also.

"No, mom, don't cry, please!" Veronica said. The doctor was also present there. She then looked at the doctor and asked, "When did this happen?"
