Ardit asks Ari

The days continue to pass as Ari gets adjusted to her role as Ardit's slave. She is starting to get used to the situation, and what they say about Ardit is true. He is a very cunning, smooth talker. His charms are irresistible to the many women under his ownership and he knows it. It is no wonder that everyone says that he is so kind to his slaves, but this isn't kindness. This is a deliberate trick so that his slaves will not resist him. To Ari, this is trickery, trying to deceive them into thinking that it is okay to be under ownership as long as your master is kind. But she knows better as she knows that Ardit can be just as cruel as any other master. There were rumors going around that he beat one of his slaves to death earlier. She didn't knew her but has seen her before, but now that slave is no longer with them. Ari has a feeling that Ardit did something horrible to her and is trying to hide it. For now, however, she must remain quiet and just do as he says.
