Ibrahim, business must go on

'Would the smiles and good time ever return?' though Ibrahim. He felt like Ari was had just vanished into thin air. Whatever happened at Ardit's residence was probably what triggered the change in attitude. He was so worried about Ari now. But what worried him the most was what Ardit said before he left: He wanted Ari to be his wife. Ibrahim's heart sunk so much, he could not believe this was happening. Did he get too attached to her? It was most likely that he did because he didn't figure he would be so hurt.

Su puts her hand on his shoulder, "are you okay, sir?"

"I don't know. I feel like I failed Ari."

"But there's still hope, Ibrahim. Don't forget, you are trying to stop slavery for good. You just need to work extra hard to free Ari."

"I know that Su, but it's going to take time, so much time. In fact, I may not even live to see the day. I am working to free the slaves but I feel like all my efforts will bear fruit after my time has come. This may be the last time I see Ari."
