Danny!!

The city was on high alert, the youngest daughter of the most powerful family of the city was missing. Every medium of escape had been sealed promptly, every road was flooded with police officers and the personal guards of three billionaires. But still, there was no achievement so far. It was almost dawn, and nobody had been able to get a single hint about where the girl could be. The clouds were slowly approaching the sky, and the dawn was turning a dull grey, instead of the usual shades of orange in the morning hours.

Ishaan had arrived on the scene within half an hour, and was trying to console and explain everything to Manya since then. *But at that moment, she didn't care about anything or anybody, she was too busy to think about matters like who had tried to cheat her, who was standing by her or with whom she wanted to spend the rest of her life. The only thing on her mind, was how she would describe the entire situation to her mother, and how she would convince her parents that their brother-in-law was not only alive, but was also behind the supposed tragedy that had befallen their family. The image he had always maintained in front of her parents, grandparents and Massi was that of a 'good boy', a perfect person who loved his daughter and wife so much, and was so fragile-heated that he was scared of blood. And he had been successful in deceiving them not just once, but again by abducting Sia twelve years later. How could this happen?*

She sat down, holding her head in her hands, and that was the moment that it started to rain without any warning.

Manya might have gained some bits and pieces of her memory back, but she still wasn't over her fears and there were still some pieces left to remember. The main guard was the one who had come to her after she was arguing with her mother and fighting over Siddhant being alive. Her mother had brushed the topic away once again, declaring that it was no use digging up old matters now and that it would hurt Sia if she happened to hear them.

It was after her mother had left, that the guard had approached her and told her that he believed her, because of something that had happened with his own family. The day before the accident, his son and wife had been kidnapped, and mysteriously enough, he had only been able to find them just after getting the news of the accident. His wife was already dead by then, and even after many efforts, he was unable to save his son as well. He had been so embarrassed at the fact that he was unable to save his boss, when "Swara ma'am had always trusted him more than anyone else''. He had been aware of every plan and business proposal of hers, she never went out without informing him. And after the incident that had tangled them with Roy's son, she had been a little scared of going out alone as well. But things had changed after she had met her husband, she used to hang out with him frequently, without letting anyone else know. She had even started eluding him, often changing her location without informing him and refusing him from accompanying her. In the beginning, he had thought it to be quite normal, but eventually, he had started noticing a pattern- the places they had visited, or the places they had been associated with in any way, a murder was often reported in the span of a few weeks! He had started collecting the corresponding data, but all he had been able to find was that the person who was murdering everyone had a plaster cast in his hand. He had been killing most of his victims by pushing them from a height, and then disfiguring their faces by stone. Or if the murder was reported in such a place where pushing them from a height was not possible, then he simply attacked them with knives and made sure to disfigure their faces afterwards.

But everything had remained a mystery, and nobody was ever able to solve it; when one day, the murders stopped suddenly, just after the accident. And again, everything was left without any conclusion as the suspect was dead, and now nobody could prove whether his analogy was true or false.

So he had given up on trying to find out about this, and decided to dedicate his life to protecting the only daughter of his boss.

There were many things which set off the ringing bells in her mind, but the more she was thinking all of this, the more she was getting disturbed and annoyed about not being able to find any answers or clues. Suddenly, the rainfall intensified, along with loud thunder and heavy downpour. She found it difficult to breathe, her lungs were feeling constricted to such a level that  her body was unable to get the proper amount of oxygen. Her heart was palpitating fast enough to match a speedster, and as if it was not enough, the grey overcast skies had started to give her an ominous feeling of horror. The darkness flashing in front of her eyes had triggered some kind of images, of a jungle and a house or something in front of her eyes. She was feeling overwhelmed by the thought that the situation was not in her hands now, and decided to get up. She put her hands on the ground to lift herself up, when the flash of a dragger drenched in the blood appeared in her memory, many disfigured dead bodies followed; and she started screaming at the highest pitch of her voice.

"Danny?" Sia repeated, shocked.

*She found it hard to digest what she had been told by the man who was her long lost father. According to him,he had been hiding because of some conspiracy, but then he was blaming and pointing the accusation on the person who had nurtured her like his own daughter all these years. Now what was she supposed to do, who was she supposed to believe? She wished that Manya had been there with her, she would definitely have distinguished between the truth and the lie, but she was not able to doubt any of them- rather, she didn't want to. She didn't want to lose her long lost father, as for the first time in her life she felt like she could claim him as her own! Otherwise, she always hesitated in calling her Massi her mother and introducing her Danny as her father, but just when she had thought that she had gotten the best gift of the century, she had been awarded with the best shock of the eternity instead! Her thoughts were pushing her to the point where she was not able to think anymore, only the face of her Danny was in front of her eyes. She saw him, smiling at her with affection whenever she did something that made him proud, or got caught in the midst of some shenanigans- he was proud of her no matter what, and he had never differentiated between her and her Di. He had always been her shield from each and everything, she remembered him cancelling his important meetings and seminars just to stay with her because she had some cold or slight fever. No, he couldn't hurt her, he could not even think of hurting her. It was not possible!*

She didn't realise when her thoughts turned loud enough in her head, and she ended up shouting out "It is impossible, you must have had some misunderstanding! Danny can't do this!"

"Oh, really! So this is what my daughter thinks…" Shikhawat smirked.

*Sia realised that she had said that statement out loud, but she could make him understand her reasons. She was hopeful and was expecting her father to be hurt or upset by her remarks, until she saw his face, which was full of anger, aversion, and hatred, succeeded by a look of intense bitterness and disappointment. She could not compare this face to her Danny, this was nowhere near the way he looked at her. And it was not how she had imagined her father to be, because all the stories she had ever heard about him had defined his character as the most loving person in the world. The person standing in front of her couldn't be the one, he couldn't possibly be the same person! He is an imposter- the thought lingered in her mind, making her more and more freaked out.*

She shouted again, "You can't be my father, who are you?"

"Oh, my little princess, don't be so heartless! I am your father, and it is a fact, despite neither of us wanting it to be true. We can't change this particular fact now, but you know what? I can change one other fact, after which my Shambhav would be my only child, after all, he is the real heir of mine. And for that, you have to die."
