Wedding gift from him

"Congratulations for your marriage." Shalini smiled a little at Raunak. She knew it was her step brother but she was a little grateful towards him. He had helped her few days before when even Arya didn't.

"So why didn't you come to our wedding?" Drishti asked curiously feeling there's something going between Raunak and Shalini. They were keeping secrets about something. And she knew it concerned Arya bhatt.

"I was not invited." Shalini smiled bitterly that made Raunak curse under his breath. He actually forgot about her. He should have invited her.

"Then how did you know?" Drishti was really confused. If she was not informed by Raunak then who was the one to give her information?

Shalini was feeling awkward with her continuous questions. She felt she had made a mistake coming here. Drishti was behaving like a cop to investigate criminals. Even Raunak was shocked with her attitude. She was never a person to be jealous, at least he never saw her like this. She was introvert when it comes to emotions. She never liked to open up if she felt sad. Raunak needed to read it my his own.

"Was it Rishi?" Drishti questioned directly not getting any answer from her. Shalini's eyes widened with his name. She didn't expect her guessing that.

"So it's him." Drishti locked her hands on her chest. She needed to have a talk with him. With a deep sigh, she said, "Okay, you both talk in private. I have some works."

She knew they had something to talk about and she was never gonna interfere. Because it was about Raunak's family. He had complete rights to contact her. And somehow her beliefs on him were so strong.

When she left the drawing room, Rajiv looked at her curving his lips. He gave her a knowing look, "So you're concerned about him?"

"Him?" Drishti mused.

"Not talking about Raunak, duh?" Rajiv rolled his eyes.

"So everyone knows about it?" Drishti was confused. She knew because she was really closed to Rishi. But how could he know?

"I understood that day you said about Raunak's lie. He said she was his junior. I investigated a little and knew she worked with Rishi. And for the rest it's not hard to assume." Rajiv explained.

"Rishi is hitting on her. I'm really tensed." She had a frown on her face.

"Why? Because Arya will create problems?" Rajiv didn't understand her reasons.

"No! Rishi is capable to handle this. It's just I'm concerned about Shalini. He won't spare a glance towards her if he will find foods and he just lives for foods." She gave a sympathetic look.

As she only lives for books!! Rajiv thought. She got some friends alike. They cared about friends a lot but never showed it in front of others. They were really something!!

.

.

"What!!!" Drishti gritted her teeth.

"You are wearing these." Sanjana pointed at the jewelleries and gave a stern look towards her.

"Why? Raunak had seen me all naked. Now what's the need of these show off?" She didn't like to do make ups and wearing heavy jewelleries. It was like a torture towards her.

Her shameless and direct speech made Sanjana's eyes wide. Her cheeks got heated with embarrassment. How could she say all these without any second thought?!

"Whatever. You are wearing all these." She was hell stubborn. Sanjana made her look like a newly bride as it was supposed to be their 'not so' first night. But it was their family ritual which she needed to follow.

The room was decorated with flowers and scented candles. Sanjana made her sit on the bed keeping hands on her knees. Drishti was trying hard not to blush. She never wanted to show how nervous she was. She was just trying to act bold.

Raunak entered the room wearing a panjabi and trouser. He was shocked with the scene. It looked like a dream. He never dared to imagine his hopeless romantic wife like this. Sanjana deserved a gift from him.

Raunak's eyes were stuck on Drishti. She was looking like an angel on the earth. She was in not so heavy make up and not in a lot of jewelleries. She was just having a little of them which was even something new for her. His breath hitched looking at the beautiful sight. All of his plans to punish her suddenly went away through the window looking at the heavenly scene.

He took alow steps towards her. She was really shy to say something but all thanks to her fiesty nature, she raised an eyebrow towards him.

"You are looking so beautiful." He complimented when their eyes made. And she knew she was exposed. Her bold looks were of no use. He knew how nervous she was.

A smile tugged on his lips but suddenly it tugged into a laughter. She was confused by his behaviour.

"What are you laughing at?" She asked confused.

"Nothing." He shook his head and sat beside her. He took out a book from his nightstand which was supposed to be her gift.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone!

She was freaking out. Of course he had this one in her library but it was a copy she bought from local markets with cheap costs. Raunak brought the oproginal publisher's copy for her.

"You liked it?" He asked with a smile.

She nodded like a child. Nothing could make her happier than that.

"Thanks!!!" She cheered up and hugged him tightly. He patted her head a little.

"Gifts are not over, wait." He made her sit beside and took another book out.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrers!!

Her eyes were shining. Did he bought the whole series for her?

She was right, prisoner of Azkaban, goblet of fire, order of phoenix, half blood Prince, deadly hallows he didn't leave anything. He seriously ordered the whole series online.

She was sitting in a daze looking at him. He found her really cute. With a smirk, he asked, "Speechless?"

"I'm really happy. That's the best gift I've ever got. But you know I could buy this series three times with the cost of one book. You are really wasteful." She gave him a silly look.

Raunak wanted to cry now. It was his hardly earned money? why did it bleed in her heart!?

"Hey!! I'm happy." She tugged his panjabi a little. He made a pout at her, though a fake one.

"Did you mind?" She bit her lips in tension. She didn't mean to hurt him.

"Sometimes you act really greedy about money." He said truthfully.

"I'm not. If I was greedy I would have accepted all those money I get from works. I just earn little so try to spend little." She gave an apologetic look.

Raunak knew she only took money from Innere and some government payments. But that not never a little amount. He didn't want to argue with her. It was a never ending process.

"You're sorry?" He again asked. She nodded.

"Then prove you are." He smirked devilishly. She blushed knowing what he meant. All of her boldness she showed last night were long gone. But without any hesitation, she kissed on his lips. When her soft lips touched his, he immediately shoved hands on her bare waist and pulled her close. He took the control and deepen the kiss when her hands reached his dark hairs.

He sucked all of her oxygen and pulled apart when they were out of breath. He attacked their forehead and enhaled her scent deeply.

"I have another gift for you." He said in a husky voice which made her shiver.

"Gift?" She asked in a shaky voice as his hands started tracing slowly on her skin.

"Hmmmm." He left her and again reached the nightstand. He took out fifty shades of grey which made her eyes went wide.

"What's that?" She looked at him with a gulp.

"Not only that..." He smirked and took out fifty shades darker and freed. Drishti looked away from him.

"Why are you behaving shy suddenly? As if you didn't read all those." He knew she was far from being Innocent. What what's the fun in innocence?

Raunak suddenly whispered, "You have been so disobedient. You know I have punishment for you."

It was not something unknown to her. She knew it would come sooner or later.

"You read all the fifty shades series, right?" He again asked even after knowing the answer.

"Well then try some punishment from there. I've already arranged." He winked and smirking like a devil, he pushed her in the mattress with dipped with their weight. Raunak hovered over her and she suddenly started beating his shoulders.

"What?" He asked with a frown.

"Don't damage the books. At least let me keep it in the shelf. After all you brought those." She begged through her eyes.

He let her do as her wish. He also didn't want to damage those. Suddenly he asked, "Tell me your most favourite character's name."

"Detective Byomkesh Bakshi." She didn't know his plan.

"Well, you're going to call me that tonight." He said and picked her in a bridal style.

Books will be the death of him!
