The Fine Print

The Marie-stopes hospital was buzzing with patients being taken up and down. Marcus was anxious, worried for his father's health. He had rushed him to hospital when he had cardiac-arrest at his mansion a few hours ago. The doctors were busy working on him.

Marcus stood up as Dr Mary Lourie approached him. "Dr, tell me quickly, what's the status on my father? Is he going to be alright?"

"Mr Jackson, your father is critical but stable. You said something upset him earlier right, please tell me what upset him."

Marcus was tongue-tied, how could he admit such a shameful loss to the Dr, let alone to the public. 'No, I should keep this a secret until I take my company back from that good-for-nothing.'

"Mr Jackson?"

"Oh! Um...he just found out we lost a huge business deal, it's entirely my fault. So, he couldn't bare the news."
