The gift.

Smith was fighting with another alpha while the wolves around them were cheering for them.

The old alpha was standing in his office while observing their fight.

He had a calm smile on his face.

"I wish, I had my son beside me."

The corners of his eyes became wet.

"We have to pay for our mistakes." He heard a voice behind him and turned.

"Moon God." He bowed a little.

"This boy is good. What do you say about him." Moon God was looking outside the window.

"What can I say?" He was smiling while looking at Smith. He also liked that Alpha.

Moon God gave him an envelope while still looking out of the window.

Marcos opened it and found a photograph inside. It was a picture of a young girl.

"She is your granddaughter. The address is written on the back." He turned towards him.

"Enjoy your gift."

Marcos felt his hands trembling. The girl was alive. A tear rolled down his eye.

He looked up but the Moon God already left.

He lifted the picture and creased it.

"You look just like your father."

...

Smith looked at the picture in his hand and then at Marcos. He was confused why the alpha was asking him if he knows San.

The Old alpha was shaking but was trying to control himself.

"She is my friend."

The Alpha broke into tears. Smith quickly filled the glass with water and gave it to him who was smiling while wiping his tears.

"Are you alright Sir?" He rubbed the back of the old man who emptied the glass in one gulp.

"She isy granddaughter whom I lost many years ago. I always thought, she died with her parents."

He paused for a second.

"Can you bring her here?" He looked at him with hope. Right now he was a father and not some Alpha.

"I will." Smith ensured him.

"Thank you." The old alpha wiped the tear from his eyes.

...

San knocked at the door of the office and entered inside.

The Alpha gestured her to sit on the chair while he was busy on phone.

San sat down and waited for him to finish his call. She looked around to pass her time.

Few minutes later the Alpha put the phone down and sat on his chair. San straighten up and looked at him with questioning look.

"San, may be you don't know why I have asked you to come here. But I ..."

"I am really sorry. I won't make that mistake again." She quickly apologized.

The Alpha only asked her to meet him in his office whenever she did something wrong but this time, how hard she tried she didn't know what she did wrong.

May be he find out that she ran away from the training.

"San, it's not like.....wait a minute, did you do something again."

San tried to think.

"Aren't you going to tell me that?" She nervously looked at him.

The Alpha took a deep breath.

"San, it's like, you have a family member."

San lifted her head and looked confused.

"Yeah, it's true. You have a grandfather."

"I have a grandfather?"

She didn't know how to react. Should she be happy? Why she never knew about him?

"The thing is, he didn't know that you were alive. You know that Smith is getting trained at the pack of Moon warriors, and the Alpha of that pack is your grandfather."

San bit her lip to stop herself from crying. She wasn't sure why she wanted to cry right now.

"He wanted to meet you. I think you should go there."

San rubbed her palm nervously.

"I need some time."

"Yeah, of course. You have two days. I already book your flight."

San got up and left the office.

.....

San wiped her tears and broke the hug with Jennie.

"I don't know, why he never tried to find me and now suddenly he wanted to meet me."

She was still confused over everything.

"Why don't you go there and ask this by yourself. I am sure he will clear everything." Jennie tried to encourage her.

"Moreover, he is your family. Don't you want to meet him?" Ron who was leaning against the wall straighten up and walked towards her.

He sat next to her and smiled.

"And if you want, we can go with you too. Right Jennie."

Jennie gave him a nod.

"You don't need to. I know you are only going to meet Romeo and for you." She turned towards Ron.

"You only wanted to see france."

Smack.

San held her head after getting smacked from both of them.

"You two are so cruel." She whined.

...

San wasn't able to sleep so she sat up and turned the light on.

A lot of things happened to her in these past days.

She opened the drawer of her bed side table and picked the artificial glass rose and stared at it.

"What should I do with it?"
