Romantic gesture

The sun was setting and there was nothing Eliza loved more than watching the sunset, and hence immediately college was over. She had left Tammy and Tessa while she rushed to grab something to eat since her mom was extra busy with work. Elizabeth had to tell her mom Carol was too overprotective that even going out for lunch on her own was something she didn't approve of.

"Miss here you go"a male cute waiter said to Eliza who was sitting at a far corner booth having her meal and when Eliza looked up her eyes widened when she saw a bouquet of beautiful flowers not just that, but many huge flowers were delivered around her. From red roses to lilies and many more flowers were delivered by various ladies in white clothes. Elizabeth muffled her mouth with both hands as she was the center of attention. The people in the restaurant were staring at her, wondering who the man was to display such a romantic scene,

"Huh?" Eliza mouthed as she looked at the waiter not sure what to do but just then the restaurant door opened and like some kind she spotted him dressed in a suit, she knew the man never liked wearing anything other than to look smart in a business suit, every step he took screamed greatness and earned stares from people around

"Hello sweetheart...your pre-birthday gift...does that make sense"the man said as soon as he reached where she was sitting and like a fool Eliza just stared at him without blinking and Tyler her very own boyfriend chuckled as he took her hand and shoved a gold box in her hand and lowered to plant a kiss on her lips only then did she realize what was happening

"Y...you're here?"she stammered to say when Tyler pulled back and caressed the cheeks

"In the flesh baby, well, I wanted to surprise so here I am"he said with a smile showing off his cute dimples on each cheek and Elizabeth melted like butter as her stomach did a flip feeling butterflies flap their wings causing that tingling sensation in her tummy

"T...this is the best...you are the best ''she screamed, not caring about the states they were getting because her man had come, he had left all his work just to surprise her. Elizabeth jumped from her seat and threw herself in his arms, only for Tyler to chuckle and wrapped his arms around her and buried his head against her neck. He could sense how happy she was, and it was the only thing he wanted

"You smell so nice"he murmured as he inhaled her sweet scent as his eyes closed automatically, Elizabeth was already lost in his embrace and once she got enough she pulled back

"I missed you a lot"she whispered and reached her hand to his face and caressed him lightly, Tyler bore his blue eyes into hers as the two kept their gaze on each other feeling their heartbeat quickening such that Eliza was certain her heart would pop out of her chest if the man kept his seductive gaze on her

"I missed you too"he said and lowered to plant a kiss on her forehead rather than her lips which Eliza thought he would kiss, but she took it anywhere

"You look beautiful, I guess the first day of college was a success"Tyler joked with a smirk only for Eliza to blush as her cheeks and eyes turned red, and she smacked his head with her hand and the man chuckled and made her sit. The restaurant had gone back to normal and people were eating their meals like before; however, Eliza knew Tyler's romantic display would go down in history, he was the best boyfriend any girl would dream of. She loved him a lot, especially his eyes and blonde silver hair. She didn't know why but Tyler was like a different beautiful creature with all the right qualities a girl would wish off

"Thanks well I'm exhausted after a long day…"she started asking she shoved her plate of fries to him and extended her arm to move the roses but just then a thorn pricked her

"Ouch!"she made a low scream and immediately pulled away from the flowers getting Tyler's attention who immediately grabbed her hand to see but to his and Elizabeth's surprise no blood came out

"Are you okay?"Tyler asked with concern and Elizabeth who was used to not seeing any blood flow whenever she got injured nodded

"I'm... I'm fine...let's eat"she said with a faint smile and moved her hand from his grip awkwardly hoping Tyler didn't ask questions and like always he just nodded, looked at her for a while then smiled and fed her some chips. Elizabeth heaved a silent sigh of relief because she didn't want Tyler to know how weird she was, each time she got injured awfully she didn't see any blood nor did the pain continue, and hence she wondered why that happened because when she told her parents about it, they just told her she was special and healthy.

****

While Eliza was having a wonderful time with Tyler, far at an isolated mansion far from civilization. A huge modern mansion stood in the middle, surrounded by beautiful trees and flowers. The place was peaceful and quiet, free from noise and the busy city people. It was a wonderful place only for someone who hated noise, especially someone who didn't like people invading his privacy. Nothing would compare to the glorious mansion from the exterior to the interior everything was as what they called high class

"He won't come out"a small voice spoke as the little lady dressed in a short black dress spoke while the Middle Ages woman seated on the couch frowned

"And why can't he? I came all the way here just to make this happen"the woman sitting said to the girl walking around the large lounge which had dark furniture and every decoration was black painted

"Mom come on...do you think he would agree to you nonsense…think again"the girl scored as she took a small gold rose and stared at it for a while then put it back. The woman sitting got to her feet, hating every moment her son treated her like some stranger

"Derek! I know you are here, just come down now"!" She yelled for her precious son because she left the busy hospital just to make things right,, and immediately she yelled the name of both mother and daughter as they turned towards the stairs as they heard footsteps. Even his shadow was something they feared because they rarely saw him. Not even his employees in his company has laid their eyes on him

"This visit...better be important if not...out"A man spoke in a dead toneless voice that carried no emotions whatsoever such that anyone who came before him would get to their knees out of fear and the woman knew his son carried that scary aura and now standing before them in all black covering his head with a hoodie was none other than Derek Rivera.
