Mate 2

Ralph had been in his room feeling reluctant and looking out he's window. He wasn't really looking at anything cause he could not see anything apart from the window opposite him.

And the window looked dark inside. He sighed, maybe he should try to attend the dinner to avoid rantings from his parents. He's dad would never let him rest if he doesn't. He opened his closet. He picked out a jean and top. This should do. He wore it and went out the door. Let's go meet our new neighbors.

" I'm sorry olivia well my son tends to come late every single time. He hates family dinners". He heard he's mother say as he came down from the stairs and he scoffed. She was already talking about him behind he's back, who said he hated family dinners. He only hated being forced to attend when not interested.

" I'm here mother as you insisted". He said looking at his mother before facing the girl who his mother was obviously talking to and he gasped.

"Olivia"

"Ralph".

They both said at the same time and Olivia's mother and Ralph's mother shared a knowing look in private.

"I didn't know I was your new neighbour". Ralph said and Olivia smiled. I" didn't know you were my new neighbour". Olivia answered and they both shared a brief laugh. Maybe this dinner wouldn't be so bad after all.

Ralph sat down facing Olivia as they ate.

"Ralph would be attending the same school as you". Ralph's mother said and Olivia felt happy and sad at the same time. What if Ralph. Comes to her school and then he's mind gets poisoned. He would ignore her just like the rest. But she had a feeling at the back of her mind. Ralph did not seem like a bad guy.

"Oh that's great. Maybe Ralph could be driving Olivia to school then. Olivia is bad at driving." Her mother replied and Olivia frowned . "Mom".

"What", her mother replied.

"Well I'm okay with it. And that's if you have no problem driving with me." Ralph added.

Olivia looked between her mother and Ralph's mother. This two were definitely planning something and anything it was she does not want to be a part of it.

She looked at Ralph and she could have sworn he was begging her to say yes. But then could he be that he was begging her to say no.

. But she went for whatever came out yif her mouth.

"Sure, that's a good idea. At least I won't have to drive alone." Olivia answered and was surprised the words just came out if her mouth. Since when could she just say something like that and not feel rebuked.

Ralph smiled. They were of to a nice start. Dinner was over and both families said their good bye.

"I have a feeling your room is by my window." Ralph told her. And Olivia shrugged.

"I think so. I can't see anything apart from Windows in my room. And it's annoying".

"Why don't you check out your window this night and we'll see if it's annoying."

Ralph said with a smirk and Olivia couldn't help but think there was an hidden message between those words.

But she answered anyways. "Sure I'll check. And i really expect something great that would make me go wow When I see it". She purposely made their hands touched and withdrew it immediately when her hands skipped a bit. She would have freaked out right now if not of Ralph that was right beside her as they walked to the door.

Was she seriously trying to flirt right now. Like seriously try to flirt.

Ralph squeezed his hand tight as he felt like holding her. Don't, Ralph. Don't go to far. What would she think of you. He muttered in his head. Both teenagers walked side by side with different thoughts in head but Olivia was more confused. Did she just seriously try to flirt.

"So I'll see you tomorrow then. New neighbour". Ralph said when they reached he's door step.

"Yeah new neighbour. I'll see you tomorrow." Olivia replied and waved goodbye and walked towards her house. Her parents had already reached inside.

"Don't count on it". Ralph shouted when she reached her doorstep and she smiled an ok.

What did he mean don't count in it.

She reached inside and met her mother looking pale wasn't this woman just happy a minute ago what's wrong she asked in worry and her mother engulfed her into a hug immediately. "Please don't die."

"Uhh. What do you mean don't die. I'm not dying".

Her mother nodded. "It's time Olivia. Its time for the transmission."

Her father patted her mother's back. "She's going to make it dear. She's out daughter so she's bound to make it". Olivia didn't know what went wrong but she felt her body shake and gear enveloped her as she thought if possible outcomes. If she didn't make it then she would die in-between her would and her body and God know she was not ready to die. She still had to go to college.

Then almost immediately she heard the wolf cry. The Cry that told everyone to get ready. All mortals would have been locked up now without their conscent and some might already be in deep sleep and that's if the magic had reached them.

The second cry came signalling it was time.

Olivia stood naked in front of her parents and on the strike of twelve another cry sounded and then the transmission began. Olivia was physically shaken now as she heard the cries of other people who were already changing. Wee they crying on pain or death. She didn't know but she was about to find out. Repeat the manta olivia.

Mate.

Love.

Pack.

Peace.

"Repeat it." Her mother shouted

Olivia repeated the manta over and over again.

She fell to her knees as she felt her bones breaking and twisting at different angles. She let out a scream as the pain became unbearable.

"Make it stop she's not going to make it", her mother shouted.

"She would, beleive it dear. We did. So she would to".

Olivia screamed as she felt another bone come apart. It hurts, it hurts so bad. And suddenly she froze as a white wolf appeared in her mind and she heard the word.

Mate!!!.
