Angry Dylan

Dylan rushed to the restaurant where Janet planned the dinner. But when he reached there it was closing time.

-" Grandma, is Janet still here..? " Asked Dylan.

-" Janet..? No dear. She left the restaurant a long time ago when she got a call from you that you can't reach here due to a traffic jam. " The old lady replied.

-" Oh…Okay. I thought she must be waiting for me. " Dylan tried to smile.

He was confused whether he should be happy for Janet leaving the restaurant or should be sad that he failed to keep His promise. He was walking back to his car when the old man shouted from behind…

-" She was sad and dejected when leaving the restaurant. "

Dylan froze at his spot for a moment and shook his head in understanding then hopped into his car.

-" Why did you say that.? He must be feeling guilty. "The old lady scolded her husband.

-" Because my heart asked me to tell him that. " He shrugged his shoulders and looked at the disappearing car of Dylan.

Inside the car, Dylan was feeling desperate as he couldn't connect to Janet's number..

-" Come on, jane. Why did you put your phone off… ? I'm worried about you. " Dyan ran his fingers through his hair in frustration.

-" Shit.. I should have called Mark. " Dylan recalled he instructed Mark to always accompany Janet.

Being a criminal lawyer Janet has already been successful in creating a lot of enemies and Dylan doesn't want to take any risk regarding her safety. He dialled Mark's number which connected only after two trials.

-" Mark, where is jane..? " Dylan asked before Mark could greet him.

-" Sir, she is in her home and she is staying there tonight. So I also planned to stay here. " Mark replied from the other side.

-" Okay.. I will be there. " Dylan hung up the call and took a U-turn to Janet's home.

When Dylan reached her home it was almost midnight. He was hesitant for a second to press the bell but then decided to press it anyway. After a few times of waiting he heard the sound of unlocking the door.

Victor opened the door wondering who must be here at midnight. But to his surprise it was none other than his so called one and only son in law Dylan Braxton.

-" What are you doing here at midnight.. ? " Victor asked in an expressionless face.

-" Sir, I'm here to take jane. " Dylan said respectfully.

Dylan called his father in law sir because he never let him call dad or uncle. As for Victor, Dylan was a man who snatched his princess away from him.

-" She is asleep, you can meet her tomorrow. Now go home. "

Even though Janet didn't say anything, he can see his daughter is not happy and the reason is none other than her successful Emotionless husband.

-" What are you saying , honey.. It's already midnight and you want him to drive back..? Let him sleep here. Dylan, you go inside. Janet didn't lock her room. " Emma , who was listening to her husband, said.

-" Thank you aunty. " Dylan gave a faint smile to Emma and entered the house as he knew he wouldn't be able to enter if he waited for Victor's permission.

-" Why did you do that, Emma..? " Victor asked in displeasure.

-" Let them talk about it and sort out the issue. " Emma patted her husband's hand. She knew Janet was here because she was sad.

-" Do you want him to wake her up..? " Victor was not happy with his wife's decision.

-" Why..? Are you tense about your princess..? Do you still care about your daughter..? " Emma moved her face close to Victor.

-" Why should I..? She has a sweet husband for whom she left us. He will take care of her and for your kind information I don't care about her. " Victor blurted out and ran inside his room.

-" Lair.. " Emma whispered looking at her husband.

Meanwhile Dylan entered Janet's room which was decorated in a princess style by her dad. He saw a tall figure sleepy peacefully on the bed while hugging a pillow. She had hid her face on another Pillow. Dylan removed his balzer and laid beside Janet. He caressed her head and whispered in her ears…

-" I'm sorry Jane.. I made you sad. " Janet Friggled in her sleep and snuggled her face deeper into the pillow.

When Dylan woke up in the morning, Janet was no longer beside him. He entered the washroom in order to do his daily chores. When he came outside he saw Emma and Victor rushing to their respective workplace but Janet was nowhere to be found. Emma noticed Dylan and said..

-" Good morning, Dylan. Jante left early as she had an emergency. "

-" Good morning aunty. Then I will Leave. " Dylan.

-" Have your breakfast before leaving. " Emma

-" No aunty, I'm not hungry. I will Have it in my home after taking a shower. "

Dylan was not used to interacting with his in-laws closely and he never visited them without Janet. As Emma knew his uncomfortness she didn't compel him and let Dylan leave.

Dylan dialled Janet's number but she didn't get any reply from the other side. He sighed and finally chose to call Mark.

-" Mark, where is Janet? " Asked Dylan.

-" Sir, she is in the university you and she studied at because ma'am offered a class for the students in the law department. " Mark replied.

-" Okay. Ask her to call me when she gets free. " Dylan

-" Sure sir. I will pass the message to her. "

Mark hung up the call and looked at Janet who was listening to him carefully.

-" Boss wants you to call him. " Mark.

-" I will take care of that. "

Janet smiled faintly and walked to the lecture Hall. She was watching the whole campus with misty eyes as every corner in the university reminded about her and Dylan's love. Those were the best and happiest days in her life.

On the other side @Dylan's office,

Dylan was checking some files when Luis entered the office. He was looking tense as he was afraid of saying something.

-" What is it, Luis. ? " Dylan looked up from the file noticing luise wanted to inform something.

-" Sir, the… The project.. " Luis stammered in his words.

-" I don't have the whole day to spend, Luis. Come straight to the matter. " Dylan asked while signing the document.

-" Sir, the project we got yesterday is now not in our hands. It's gone to the Braxton group.. "

Luis completed his sentence in one breath and shut his eyes tightly in order to escape from the devil's wrath. But getting no response or yell from his boss as expected Luis opened his one eye slightly and saw Dylan controlling his anger.

Dylan was just focussing his eyes on the file. The nibe of the fountain pen broke due to the force he was applying.

-" Who did it.? " Dyaln asked with gritted teeth.

-'' Mr. Ivan Braxton.. Your.. Your brother. As we didn't sign the contract yesterday it was easy for him to bribe Mr. Agustin. Mr. Evan offered more profit with less expenditure than us. " Luis explained with a trembling heart.

His boss can accept defeat with anyone but not with Braxton group which is run by his own brother and dad. Dylan was silent for a second but that deadly silence was making Luis even more panicked.

Dylan clenched his fist into a ball. The voice of him gritting the teeth was audible in that deadly silence. Suddenly Luis heard the sound of things breaking. This was the reaction he expected from his boss. Dylan brushed aside the belongings on the table. The files were scattered on the floor along with one broken flower pot.

-'' How could you be so irresponsible.? Haven't I asked you to keep an eye on Ivan.? " Dylan shouted angrily.

-" Sir, the movement was so secretive that… "

Before Luis could finish Dylan's phone started to ring. Luis desperately wanted the person who was calling to be Janet as only she can control the angry Dylan.

Dylan was looking into the caller id with anger then answered the call with a dark face.

-" Hello little brother, are you sad or angry because your deal is snatched away from you… ? Hahaha…

I'm sure not even your that stupid PA couldn't find my move. Well let me tell you it's the benefit of having a powerful dad and father in law which you don't have… hahahaha…. " Evan laughed hysterically from the other side.

-" Do you think you can defeat me with this one single project, brother Evan..? In your dreams. " Dylan smirked.

-" Do you think that, little brother.? But I don't think so. Because love is making your mind less sharp and less attentive. You can't ever win over me because I have two powerful people behind me. Hahaha… " Evan laughed and hung up the call.

Dylan was more infuriated with that call and Luis was cursing Evan for rubbing salt on the wound. Dylan threw the phone to the ground angrily.

-" Sir… " Luis

-" Get out… now… " Dylan roared like a lion.

As if he was eagerly waiting for the moment Luis ran out of the cabin. He has to call the lioness to tame her lion. Luis hurriedly took his phone and tried to connect the call with Janet.

-" Shit… Now how will I deal with his anger.? " Luis cursed himself for being distracted from the work assigned by Dylan.

-" Luis.. "

Again Luis heard the roar of Dylan.

-" Oh God.. The devil is now on the earth. " Luis whispered to himself and again entered the cabin.

-" Yes sir… " Luis

-" Bring me a new phone. " Dylan said while taking a puff from his cigarette.

-" I already have a spare one, sir. I will bring it for you. " Luis hurriedly replied as it was a habit of Dylan to break his phone.

Luis was walking out when Dylan again asked…

-" When will Grayson and Sonia be back.? "

-" Next Monday, sir. " Luis

-" Okay. Leave. "

Dyaln got up from his chair and walked to the corner of his office room from where he could see the view of half the city. He was taking puffs non stop which showed he was tense and angry.

-" I will surely prove you that you are wrong, brother Evan. " Dylan said in determination.

-" Sir, your new phone is ready. " Luis said from behind.

Dylan just forward his hands and took the phone from Luis and asked him to leave. Dylan checked the phone and checked whether there were any notifications of missed calls from Janet but there was nothing. He tried to call her but the result was the same as Luis got. So Dylan again called Mark as he wanted his wife very much at the moment to calm him down.

-" Give the phone to Jane. " Dylan said without any introduction.

-" Yes sir… "

Mark replied from the other side and then Dylan heard the voice of running. He realised Janet must be somewhere away from Mark. He heard Mark talking to Janet but the reply was something that Dylan never expected…

-" I'm not in a mood to talk to anyone, Mark. Just tell him don't disturb me. "

Mark gulped his saliva in horror as to how he could say no to his devil boss. But here on the other side Dylan was more infuriated with Janet's behavior that he broke the phone again in rage…

-" When did my phone calls start to disturb you, Jane..? " Dylan gritted his teeth in anger. His face was becoming darker with each passing seconds as if he wanted to swallow the whole world in his rage….

It was almost nine at night when Dylan reached home. He was walking to his room when Suzanne came near him.

-" Sir, Janet is still not back. "

Suzane was hesitant as she didn't know whether she had to say this news to Dylan or not after watching the cold and angry look of him. But she can't take any risk at the safety of Janet especially when she has earned a lot of rivals by taking the side of truth. She was less concerned about the wealth and power the opposite party held and it was the reason Dylan hired a bodyguard for Janet. And he also has so many business rivals who know Dylan Braxton has only one weakness which is none other than his wife…

-" Did she call you.?" Asked Dylan without facing Suzanne.

-" No. Her phone is out of coverage. " Suzane.

-" She must be busy in the office. Let her take own time. It's better I don't disturb her. "

Dylan replied coldly and climbed the stairs to his room. When Dylan disappeared in his room the doorbell rang again and Janet came inside with a gloomy face.

-" What is it, Janet.? You look pale. Is everything okay.?" Suzane walked to Janet with concern.

" I'm okay. Just tired. I will take a shower. " Janet replied while averting her eyes as if she wanted to hide something.

-" I will reheat the food. Come down with Dylan. " Suzane said loudly so that Janet could hear her.

But Janet just walked away without answering. Suzanne was silently watching Janet as Janet was looking different from her usual days. Without any reason she had a feeling that everything was gonna change in their life.. A drastic change which will bring hurricanes to so many life's.
