"I don't get it," I said, not sure why the lady was handing me two pendants. She was acting strange. "Is everything okay?"I asked because she wasn't hiding her face like she always did. Her eyes were a little weary as if she had been crying and her entire form was timid. I didn't take what she was giving but walked around her and went to the cottage entrance. Why was she like this?


"It's for your protection, my child...with this no one will harm you or the Alpha," she said as she turned around, and again I found her approach rather strange. Since I found her here. She never said more than a few words in a sentence. She ignored all my questions mostly and only spoke when she told me something.
