Koala
When I reached the forest I kept on running and she followed me. I was very sure the others that had run after us had already lost us.
I stopped running when I heard no sound.
I looked back, Danica was nowhere in sight, I looked around already having a bad feeling, did she stop following me?
Naa, she wouldn't just give up like that. I stressed my senses, the shape of people running towards me, none of them Danica.
Could she have shifted?
I looked up, hearing the caw of a falcon diving down towards me.
Oh shit!
I jumped out of the way and it landed where I stood moments before. It cawed again before it shifted back to Danica, clothes and everything intact.
She chuckled, the sound low and devilish.
"Are we playing 'run poker run'?"
"Yeah," I played along. "Shifting is cheating."
"Oh, did we set rules?" Her body started trembling and I knew the real Danica was trying to take back control.
"I don't need to shift to kill you anyway."
"Oh, is that so?" She didn't reply, she just snarled at me, "then prove it."
She came at me, I moved out of the way before her elongated fingers could rip me apart.
I shifted half way also, my skin now covered in scales that would protect me from getting ripped, my fangs elongated, my arms lengthened and my fingers sharpened.
This time when she came to me I was ready.
It was a series of snarls, growls and whimpers as we teared at each other.
She kept trying to get past my scales, while I kept trying to avoid getting injured and at the same time trying to rein in control so my beast didn't take control because it felt threatened.
"Is that all you've got?" I taunted
I was aware of the fact that the others were now present and were watching us fight.
A moment's distraction caused me, she picked me up and threw me thirteen feet from where I stood.
I groaned in pain because I landed on a rock.
I didn't take time to nurse my pain, I took off and took off running.
Vincent
Jesus, I wondered how Jerome must have felt when Danica fought with Piper.
Because what I was feeling was close to murderous as Danica caught up to Koala and tore at his skin, but no matter how she tried, the skin stayed the same and it frustrated Danica to no end, and me, I was very very curious as to why Koala's skin looked like that.
A silver white color covered his skin, and it had different patterns shaped like scales.
Koala wasn't even fighting her, he was just avoiding getting hit but Danica was smart with how she continued hitting him when he least expected.
Jerome didn't come with us because the moment they took off running, josh had come running with a lead on the vampire terrorizing the pack.
The look on Jerome's face was painful when he had to choose between going after his mate and seeing the pack.
I gasped when Danica delivered a particularly hard hit and twisted her hand so it looked like her fingers went into the scales, when she moved her hand back, blood followed.
Danica smiled, staring at the blood, her body still trembling. If someone told me Danica could look like this, or behave like this I would request the person visit a healer.
It took everything in me not to join the fight.
"We need to do something, Koala hasn't fed in weeks, he's still weak."
The woman Octavian had called Tara said.
"We can't do anything Tara, it's too risky." The woman beside her said.
"I'm joining the fight."
"No you're not." The Man Octavian had called, their father said. Tara looked at him like he had grown two heads.
"You have no say in this Old man, that's my brother there."
"And you're my daughter, he made it clear no one was to join the fight."
"I'm not your daughter, Old man, you might have been the sperm donor, it doesn't make you my father."
The man looked ashen and the woman beside him who was the third daughter looked as if someone had hit her.
"Don't speak to my father like that!" She snapped.
"There you go, that's your daughter."
The family was really fucked up.
"Tara!," Koala screamed as he went down with Danica on top of him, " get into her head."
"I...I...I can't, what if I can't get out again?" Tara replied.
"Tara do it, Tara please, it's getting hard to hold my beast back." Koala said, as he kicked Danica back
"We'll both end up getting hurt if I can't find my way out." Tara said.
