betrayal

Danica

I squinted before blinking my eyes open, I smiled when I saw Jerome's face hovering over mine.

"You know, you're a cuddle slut."

My smile widened. "I've been told so."

"But you really have to get up."

He sounded serious. "Why?"

"The moonstone pack is coming, they believe we've betrayed them."

"What do you mean?" I stood up from the bed and stretched my legs.

"They think we protected a traitor."

"Who?"

"Harry, they called him Harry, apparently he's the mate of a witch they killed, which you helped them in killing."

"Oh." I thought Harrison was supposed to have gone feral or die when Kaz died. I didn't realize I had thought out loud until Jerome asked a question.

"One of those things should have happened.....how did you even meet Olivia?"

I grinned. "It's a long story, but interesting all the same."

"Tell me."

"Well I was going to get food when I met her..."

"Wait, you passed out?" Jerome asked, frowning. When I reached the part where I passed out after healing her.

"Well yeah, I said I did, didn't I?"

"Don't get smart with me, I'm just angry that it's not the first time you've passed out healing someone, I don't want you to do it again."

He told me sternly.

"Ugh, fine." I continued my story.

"When I woke up she was..."

I reached the part where I woke up and thought Jerome had finally caught up to me.

Jerome chuckled. "You thought I already caught you? Why was that your first thought?"

"Oh shut up." I batted him with my hand, "I was really scared that you've found me and was going to punish me for rejecting you. Anyways...."

"Oh," Jerome gasped grinning, when I reached the part that I came to get food for me and Olivia.

"That was the food you came to buy in the bakery, and here I kept wondering if you are that much."

"Don't interrupt me again."...

I groaned, when I told him about the part I entered the cabin and saw that it was clean.

Jerome was laughing so hard I had to wait a moment, when he finally calmed. "And here I was thinking the rabbits were the ones ruining the whole place when it was you that was to lazy to clean up."

"Hey," I scowled, "you wouldn't be saying that if you knew how many times I had to clean up, I eventually got tired of cleaning."

"Where are the rabbits anyway?"

My heartbeat accelerated. I missed them so much, but I couldn't still get over the fact that they knew everything and didn't for once mention it to me, I felt betrayed by them.

"I don't know, should I continue or not?"

Jerome stared at me for a moment before nodding for me to continued.

"So you followed her to her pack?"

I shrugged, "yes, and Kaz kept trying to know what I was."

"Were you rude about it?"

I smirked. "Of course, I don't answer questions I don't want to."

"I bet she was mad." He told me, grinning.

"Yeah she was," I grinned back, "I guess no one ever told her no, just like someone else I know." I added, just to tease Jerome.

"What's that suppose to mean?"

I smiled, "I'm just saying."

A knock on the door stopped me from saying more.

Jerome grunted, the door opened and Koala poked his head in.

"The moonstone pack is here." He told us.

Jerome grunted a reply.

"I guess we'll go hear what they have to say."

"I hope everything is okay."

I was really worried about Olivia and her pregnancy.
