I didn’t know how long I stayed when I opened my eyes, I didn’t see anyone. Just hard rocks. I exhaled, I was alive, I survived the missile. I tried sitting up but I couldn’t, it still hurts. I stare at the spot where I was shot and groaned.
I was able to stare where I was, I was in a cave, not just any other cave but the cave she lived in. I lay back and shut my eyes. I wonder what day it was.
Then I heard running footsteps into the place I was. I opened my eyes.
It was creamy.
“Oh, my Gawd! You’re awake.” He throws himself at me, giving me a hug, a grimace a little.
“It hurts.”
“Sorry.” He pulled back. And smiled.
“But there’s trouble. The moon pack wolf is coming here. They’ve surrounded the forest.”
I groaned. I was gonna come to that. I wanted to know how I survive this quickly, if the wolf was around, then it was a day.
“How did you get me treated?”
“I didn’t. Someone else did.”
