Chapter 47

Zyair Pov

I was pacing, I was restless. it was almost dawn and he still wasn’t here. I was worried, what if something had happened to him. I don’t know why the feeling to protect him was still there though I know he was strong now and had been better than we once were I was still worried. What if Sean did something to him.

I was gonna march down to moonlight pack and fight Sean. He won’t do anything crazy right. I just had to hope for that.

He was gone for a day, and it felt like a whole year. I wasn’t used to him not being around me. It would be tougher if he eventually finds his mate. He was worried over mine but I haven’t thought about his.

Should I help him look for her?

I shouldn’t right?

I won’t do it.

I wanted him to be happy too maybe his mate give him that happiness. I looked out the window and saw him coming.

I felt at ease and smiled. Glad he was fine.

Above all, I was happy to have him. But who was the jerk coming with?

I couldn’t wait for them to come upstairs, I headed downstairs but stopped to peep at her room door. She was probably sleeping. I hurried down but got surprised to find her by the training center all by herself.

Why was she here?

I would come back to her, I had to meet Creamy first. It was four in the morning if I wasn’t mistaken and she was here all alone.

“What, you couldn’t sleep.”

“I thought you died..” we both laughed.

“I couldn’t die without your consent you know that.”

“You’ve to keep that.”

“I would.” He lifts his right hand.

“Like I’m invisible right now isn’t it? Damn, this is crazy.”

I looked at his side, staring at the stranger. He took off his hoodies and I gasped. Taking a step backward. The memories I didn’t wanna remember came running through my head. My heart beat faster. From the moment my father died and all the wolves came for me. How I was treated by my brothers, How we survived through the wolves on our tails. How I almost died, how we suffered.

My heart was pounding.

Creamy came to me and held me.

I felt angered. My eyes were blaring hatred. But the hatred wasn’t at him.

It was because I could see my brothers through him.

Cartel.

Why was he here?

“I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have brought him here.” Creamy whispered to me. I shook my head disapprovingly. He didn’t do anything wrong by bringing Cartel.

“It’s fine,” I whispered back.

“Sean was gonna kill him. I’d to bring him here. I couldn’t just let him die. It would be a plus one to us don’t you think.”

“You’re crazy. Creamy.”

“Zyair. You’ve changed, I’m sorry if you didn’t like me being here. But don’t forget, you owe me one for saving your life so just assume you’re doing me a favor so we could be even.”

“Is that your strategy?” I exhaled, my nerves were calmed and I could breathe.

“Yes. It’s a good one and I can manage.”

I half smiled. It was good to see him again.

“Glad you’re alive. You’ve done well, Zyair. Father would be proud. He had always been proud of you.”

“I haven’t done anything.”

“What do you mean, look at you. Alpha.” He brought his head down at the moment. Getting my brothers to bow at me. It was a dream I had then, I wanted to prove to them that I was more powerful but I didn’t want that anymore. I had stopped dreaming about it. But then... it’s happening.

“What did you do, you shouldn’t fight with Sean he’s your brother.”

“You’re mine too. I won’t be a burden I promise. I wanna help. I’ll train with the wolves if I had to. You don’t have to give me any special treatment.”

I nodded. I didn’t hate Cartel. I felt he would be safer with Sean not with me. He was the senseless one among the brothers which made him different. He was the only one I was close to. To exchange a few words.

“Let’s go, there’s something you need to know.” Creamy pulled me aside. We walked over a small distance and sat on rocks.

“Are you okay?”

“I’m good. You don’t have to worry.”

“Why won’t I be worried, I was gonna rip Cartel apart if something bad happened to you.”

“Which whose hands?” I laughed.

“Are you mocking me?”

“I won’t dare.”

“Better don’t.” We shared a laugh.

“So what is it?”

“I Met the seer.”

“What did he say?” I turned with curiosity burning in my gaze. I was nervous to hear what he had to say too.

“He did say there was a way.”

“And..”

Creamy hesitated. It was tough for him to say. Then it wasn’t something good. I was tapping my feet impatiently on the ground.

“There was sacrifice lamp, the sacrifice of love and death...”

I didn’t know if my body felt heavy or my feet but I couldn’t walk well. I don’t even know what to think. What are we gonna do? My poor mate. My heart was heavy and it felt as if it was tearing apart.

I watched her for a while. I had to get myself back together before I could approach her.

Exhaling. I opened the door of the room she was in.

Her hair was packed and her back was against me. She was drinking from her bottle of water, I walked toward her and took her by surprise in a back hug.

“Let’s stay like this for a while.”

“I’m sweating and dirty.” She protested. I know she was gonna say that.

“You smell nice.”

I didn’t drop my hands around her but continued hugging her.

“Isn’t it enough?”

“Few more minutes.”

“Minutes!” She drawled.

“Are you uncomfortable?”

“Hm. Because I don’t smell good.”

“I don’t mind. Few seconds then.”

She resigned and let the water drop from her hands and leaned more into me. My head her neck.

“Why did you come here, you should be resting.”

“I tried to but I couldn’t. Had a lot on my head. I thought coming here would help me.”

“Did it?”

“It did.”

I smiled and spun her around to face me. I removed the hair that had stuck on her face because of heat.

“What are you doing here, couldn’t sleep too.”

“You got me thinking about you.”

She smiled shyly. Looking away not to meet my gaze. I love her so much. My hands linger on her face. And I covered the distance between us.

I kissed her. Like she was expecting me too, and she kissed me right back. I grabbed her waist and pulled her up so her legs were wrapped around my torso.

I kissed her neck down to her collar bone.

“Do you want me? If you don’t we could stop.” I whispered behind her ears. While waiting for her I bite down her neck. Give her some good hickeys.

“You don’t?” I pulled her up my hands going down her butt.

“Do you or do you not?”

She let out a tight gasp and bite down my ear.

“I do.” She whispered.

“What do you want?” I asked though I understand what she meant.

“I want you.”

I smiled down her neck and kissed her.

She won’t regret it. Neither would she regret having me as her mate.

We’ve got less than a month left. It wasn’t even time with her because we’ve got to prepare to fight against Sean and take back the moonlight pack from his hold. There was a lot to come our way. That was what I think of, as I took her out of the training.

I am scared to admit it.

That I was scared.
