Sixteen?

Dom, Lucius, Shang Yang and Subutai were all stood outside the Town Centre and were in a heated discussion on what they should use the Wooden Tokens on first. They had a long list of Level 1 buildings that they could upgrade, but a decision was hard to come by.

"We should to one of the Animal Husbandries and increase our cattle production." Lucius argued, "With our influx of new villagers, our meat production will not be enough to sustain the population. We also need to massively increase our farmlands so I think we need a Wooden Token used there!"

"I'm not disagreeing." Subutai argued back, "but the Stables for the Red Hare also needs to be an option, those horses are incredible, if we can have more Warriors using them we will have a huge increase in our military capacity. We should also look at the Blacksmith Forge, we haven't had chance to use it much yet, but with the increase in Warriors, we need a place to repair, replace and upgrade our weapons on a larger scale."

"Both are great options." Shang Yang stated, "However personally, I believe it should be the Docks, this will increase our fishing capabilities which solves Lucius's plans, and also gives us a better berth for trade, which will in turn help improve our Market. Our Market is therefore my second idea, the stalls aren't all currently in use, but if we can receive some new tradesmen who come with it, then we could push our currency plans our a lot sooner."

This back and forth between the three of them had been going on for several minutes, and Dom had stayed stationary the whole time as he listened to them discuss things. He understood where they were all coming from, but ideally he needed to find a middle ground that would work best for the short term growth, rather than the long term right now.

"I have decided that we will just use the one Wooden Token for now." Dom stated, "We will use one, then upgrade the Town Centre as planned, after that we will use the Green Cubes and see if any of those are needed for upgrades."

"That's a good idea actually." Lucius replied, "But which one are you going to choose?"

The three of them all stared at him intently, and Dom felt like he was having to make a choice of which of his favourite pets to feed first. He genuinely did think they all had good points and was struggling for choice. He turned and looked at Gregorios and Trojan who were stood nearby on their regular guarding of him and hoped one of them would speak up, but they both knew what he was like and turned away from him.

"Let's do one of the Animal Husbandries then." Dom grumbled in a defeated manor, "Sheep or Bovine?"

"Yes!" Lucius shouted, raising his fist in the air in triumph, happy that it was the food production that one this decision.

"Sheep." Shang Yang stated, "They can produce food and wool, which are two items that are key for us. As well as many other key materials from their bones and sinews."

"They also provide milk, but it's not quite as good as that from the Cows." Lucius replied.

"I quite like it personally." Subutai stated, knowing that he had lost out but wasn't to upset with the decision.

The group soon headed towards the farmlands of Riverside, which seemed to continue to the east until the eyes could not see. Where ever the group looked there were people busy moving flocks of sheep or cows. Others were busy planting crops or tending to the many fields. Dom was impressed at the speed of things growing and the amount of work that was going in to it. He even noticed some Hittites that were now working with the farmers and suspected that after arriving the School Teachers Kento and Minato had sent them this way after discussing their skills, he hoped that Wang Shu and Lars had received similar numbers.

"System, please use a Wooden Token to upgrade the Animal Husbandry for Sheep."

[Upgrading Building]

The Animal Husbandry is the spawn point for the selected animal within the town, it will give an ample environment and housing for the creature that will spawn in it. Animals spawned within the husbandry can spawn their own kind through natural means.]

"Sixteen Sheep a day Lucius!" Dom stated after reading the stats.

"Sixteen?" Lucius replied excitedly, "That is fantastic news! This means that between food, milk and wool we have enough to feed Riverside for the next few levels of growth. We will however have to step up our breeding schemes to maintain and grow the levels as Riverside grows. Hopefully we get an influx of Wooden Tokens in the future or Sostratus can find us other ways of levelling up through his schematics."

"Well, now that has been done, shall we upgrade the Town Centre and complete the final of your quests?" Shang Yang stated.

"Yes, lets!" Dom replied.

The four of them and the two guards turned and headed back to the Town Centre, on the way they were greeted by many new and old members of Riverside and noticed how everyone was moving materials from the Lumber Camps to the housing districts and beyond.

"It's great how everyone get's so involved." Shang Yang stated, "I feel that the Laws I am working on will help maintain this feeling in the future when we have thousands of citizens."

"I'm looking forward to seeing them when you are ready." Dom replied, seriously interested in what the elder statesmen from the ancient Qin of China was working on with his Legalism background.

They soon reached the Town Centre and Dom asked the System to show him the stats.

Advancement Quest Complete, would you like to upgrade?]

Dom was happy to see that all of the Level Advancement Quests had been completed, and he was ready to finally upgrade the Town Centre. He was shocked by the Village Occupancy and realised that with the increase in daily spawns, the arrival of the Shang Warriors from Tongpai, Banas's Tribe and now the Hittite forces, his little Town had received a huge growth in a short time. A growth that they really needed to either get hold of or ride like a wave.

"Game Support, please upgrade the Town Centre!" Dom requested, anticipating what would happen next.

As usual there was a small earthquake like shake as the Town Centre underwent changes. The whole building shook as the shape of it started to change, rather than being two stories high, an additional floor had appeared between Dom's bedroom and the Main Hall, making the Town Centre three stories high, rather than the original two. As well as this the right wing where the Offices were based had also gained an additional floor, and Dom was excited to investigate both of these changes as soon as possible.

The Mosaic floor also began to shake as a small pond appeared to the left of it. It was made from a stunning white marble like stone and the water was reflecting the blue sky from above. Dom peaked his head towards it and could see that the water was clear and that the pond was empty bar the water that was in it.

Finally the Granary grew again, doubling in size once more and Dom worried that soon their would be little space left for the Granary to grow. This was something he would discuss with Lucius and Wang Shu to see if it could be relocated towards the Farming District.

Dom was relieved to see that notification and was excited to see what other rewards he had received.

"System, please show new stats!" Dom asked.

Dom was impressed to see that of the two quests, he was close to completing one of them already, but he had no idea on when he'd have another four Wooden Tokens, ignoring the one that he already had and was planning to use. He knew he needed to look in to how he could upgrade the buildings himself.

The new perk of Prestige was also an interesting one, and he wondered how much this would help him when he tried to recruit people in the future, and if he had this perk originally, would those in Gluttonous Chief's Village have surrendered.
