Chapter 106: Broken

If the test was a selection criteria for the City of Tides, then by killing the opponent, Raven only proved how dominant he was in this test. He had achieved something that no one else ever did. He was clearly talented. 

Not only did Raven prove his strength and talent by killing the Mermaid in her domain, but he was facing their Leader fiercely, proving that his courage was only bigger than his talent. 

Raven had shown qualities that the City Lord was known to appreciate a lot. Many had heard the City Lord saying that bravery in circumstances that were disadvantageous for a person was the true test of a person. 

That's also why he placed the Mermaid in this test. It wasn't to kill the Players. It was just to see which players were brave enough to maintain their composure even when they were suffocating in the water. It was a test of their quick thinking as much as it was a test of their bravery and courage.
