Chapter 108: Exciting Evolution

With a deep, steady breath, Raven focused his mind, directing the pulsating energy inside the Mermaid's body, using the pattern as a conduit between them. He felt a connection forming, like threads intertwining, and he sensed a faint presence within the lifeless body.

Images flashed through Raven's mind—memories of the Mermaid's life, her moments of joy and sorrow, her experiences by the water's edge. He embraced these memories, letting them guide his intentions as he willed life back into her body under her control.

This just proved his initial assumptions. Even the Puppets weren't entirely dead. They had their soul. The only difference was that most of their memories about their past lives were erased after they were transferred to the Puppeteer during their awakening.

Only the Puppet Master knew about the memories of these people before they became a Puppet. Only they could decide if they wanted to keep the memories to themselves or return it.
