Chapter 166: Opportunity

[Soul Awakening: 0.001 Percent]

Raven was suddenly confronted by a vivid crimson screen, intensifying the ambiance with its striking color. However, in the blink of an eye, the screen trembled and vanished before he could read its contents.

He couldn't find the person who had spoken. In fact, he didn't even know if there was another person in the first place, since the voice that he heard sounded very familiar to his own voice.

It was more as if someone was whispering in his ears. He remained unsure if he was just imagining things.

He shook his head and refocused his attention on the crowd of people in front of him, their expectant gazes indicating their belief that he would now guide them forward.

"I'm not interested in becoming the king of this place, nor am I interested in protecting you," he stated, his voice loud and clear.

He did not come here with the intention of rescuing them, and being human did not oblige him to do so either.
