Chapter 187: Two Sides

The man felt an overwhelming sense of fear and regret for standing up against Raven, berating himself for his audacity. He glanced at the Guild Master, noticing their lack of enthusiasm to intervene in the situation.

The man simply dropped to his knees, hitting his forehead on the ground near Raven's feet. "I-i was wrong. I believe in you!"

Everyone knew that he was saying that because he was frightened out of his wits, but this was probably the best approach. It was much better to beg for forgiveness than to die in stubbornness.

Raven had no intention to kill the man in the first place. He just wanted to scare the man a little so the Guild Members wouldn't be so audacious before him. And it worked as well, without him having to shed any blood.
