First Participant

"Let's begin the competition now!"

As the host finished saying, The image on the screen quickly switched to the live broadcast. At this moment, there were already 1,000,000 online viewers gathered in the live room.

"Finally, it's starting!!"

"I've been waiting for so long. Ahhh, I'm really looking forward to Mina's performance!"

"I'm more interested in knowing whether any of the newbies would be able to compete with already established idols."

There were many bullet comments in the live room, constantly refreshing the screen. The host didn't waste any time and called for participants.

"Well then, without further ado, let's invite our first participants of the day!"

"From Moonrise Entertainment, it's the idol group Midnight Trio!"

As the host's voice fell, three singers walked up to the stage from the backstage area. They looked to be in their twenties, with one of them leading with a microphone.

"Hello everyone, we are the 'Midnight Trio' and we're thrilled to be here tonight to perform for you all!"

The other two singers stood behind her, each with their own microphone, nodding in agreement.

"We've prepared a special arrangement of a classic song for this occasion, so we hope you enjoy it," the lead singer continued.

The crowd cheered in anticipation as the trio took their positions on stage. T

After their brief introduction, the lead singer nodded toward the sound engineer on the other side. Soon, music began to play throughout the venue and they started singing.

The music began to play, and the three singers harmonized beautifully, filling the auditorium with their soulful voices.

In the live room, many people were listening to the song.

"This is pretty good, although the lyrics are a bit monotonous."

"I'm willing to vote for them, but they probably won't be able to beat Mina!"

"Haha, this group must be rookies! They look so nervous. The song is only at an okay level."

There were many bullet comments in the live room.

Alan noticed that the number of people in the live broadcast room was still rising, but there were quite a few problems with the performance of the 'Midnight Trio' on this stage from Alan's perspective.

Looking at the reaction from the crowd, while some were cheering, it was only because they were idols and had somewhat good looks. But their singing was hardly able to move anyone.

They were good, much better than normal people but that was it. Alan didn't think that they could compete with Irina and Cecilia.

Soon, the group finished singing.

CLAP! CLAP!

Midnight Trio bowed and thanked: "Thank you, everyone. I hope everyone can support and vote for us."

The host also walked over and said, "Alright, the first group has finished performing. It's understandable to be nervous when they are the first ones on stage, but they did a great job."

"Now, you have five minutes to vote for them. If you support them, please vote now!" The host announced.

"Voting begins now!" The host shouted with enthusiasm.

As the host's voice fell, the large screen instantly changed into a bar chart showing the latest vote counts. Midnight Trio nervously watched the results as the votes continued to rise and eventually settled at 58,000 votes.

"Alright, voting is over! Midnight Trio received a total of 58,000 votes. Let's congratulate them!" the host announced.

Midnight Trio nodded and waved to the audience before heading backstage. Although the audience congratulated them, it was clear that they were disappointed with the result.

However, the group was professionally trained idols since young and didn't show sadness on their faces. They smiled and thanked the audience for their support before disappearing backstage.

Mia turned to Alan and asked, "What do you think of their performance?"

After pondering for a moment, Alan answered, "It's decent enough for personal entertainment, but if they want to win the competition, their singing skills and the quality of the song are not very good."

Mia nodded in agreement with Alan's assessment.

Although Mia has not yet made her debut, she was very good at judging the singing skill of others. Not to mention their singing skill, the group was so nervous that they were not even able to bring their full skill on display.

And the number of votes proved how little they had managed to convince the people to vote for them.

Manager Ciel, who was nearby, overheard their conversation and sneered, "Who are you to judge? Do you even know anything about music?"

Manager Ciel's tone was sarcastic and condescending. As fate would have it, it seems that her seat was quite close to Mia and Alan.

She glared at Alan in hatred. She was disrespected by Alan along with her idol Xin. But she couldn't do anything to Alan as he was dauntless of even fighting idols.

Now that she heard Alan say that the performances of those idols were just decent, Manager Ciel thought that it was too arrogant of Alan to judge them.

Manager Ciel and Xin were ignorant of the fact that Alan is a manager of idols as well and just thought of him as someone who is friends with idols. She thinks of Alan as someone who is ignorant of the world of idols.

Therefore, Manager Ciel thinks that she is superior to Alan. Though if one were to look, it was she who was beneath Alan.

Manager Ciel works for a second-rated company while Alan works for idols from a first-rated company.

Mia, who was from the same company as Manager Ciel wanted to say something to her but glancing at Alan, she could see that he was not even paying attention to Manager Ciel.

Alan was looking at the stage where the host was going to announce the next participants.

Manager Ciel was fuming mad as she was being ignored like trash. What was worse than being hated? It was being ignored!

"Then, next, let's invite the next group, from VantagePoint Entertainment, Xin and Meilin!"
