The day to meet the Emperor had come. It was nerve-wracking, to say the least. Wang Feng didn't know much about court etiquette and had been told that it wouldn't be a problem. Wang Feng doubted that.
If TV shows were anything to go by, everyone in the court was a nasty schemer. Among the many things they could do was misinform him so he would shame himself in the eyes of the emperor. Wang Feng sighed. Maybe he was thinking too much.
Wang Feng stood in front of the mirror. He turned left and right so he could see his profile. He nodded. He cleaned up nicely. It was true that clothes changed a man.
The crew made their way to the palace. The stone ground in front of the giant structure that is the palace was adorned with dragon motifs. A group of lady servants went by. They moved in such a way that it looked like they were slithering instead of walking. However, their tiny, disfigured feet were touching the ground.
