143. Tough nut to crack

Six Timurs sat around a fire. Staring awkwardly into each other's faces. People came all over the camp to look at them. This was the first time they saw sextouplets. They were quite curious. They were like exotic animals in a circus.

The commander supplied them with cages so they could use them during full moons. He assigned some guards when they were about to change during the full moon so he could find out if one of these men was the Beast of Gevaudan or not.

The second order of business was to formulate a plan to invade a closed subspace. To be honest, he didn't know how to go about it. If let be, the beast would come in and out of the subspace and attack the innocent in perpetuity. That cannot be allowed.

How do you defeat something that effectively doesn't exist unless it attacks? Commander Alard felt a headache coming up. It was an unbreakable castle.
