Ripples of grand gestures (part 2)

As she made her way from the manor to the annex, Adela contemplated the ease with which she approached her father to discuss a matter that surely displeased him and the Archduchess. She couldn't help but recall the devastation she felt when her idealized image of her father gave way to a more realistic one. Nevertheless, now that she knew even her role model in life was fallible, the thought of making her own mistakes didn't seem so daunting.

"Your Ladyship," the guard greeted Adela, and she nodded in acknowledgment as she walked inside the annex that housed the Archduke's study.

No matter what, I will hold on to my new falcon. She thought, firm in her resolve.

"...It's not about Egon personally, it's about that uncle of his!" The Baron exclaimed.

Not again...
