Reunion with the Alpha (part 1)

"Do you remember the road?" Noctavian inquired.

"…No, but I do remember that it was close to the dark side of the forest."

The challenge of this hour just before dawn was that the entire forest was shrouded in darkness, making it difficult to discern their location. They kept glancing upward to ensure the trees hadn't yet obscured the sky, their only indicator that they were still on the eastern side of the woods.

"I need to improve my navigation skills," Noctavian complained quietly.

Adela believed he was already quite accomplished but refrained from commenting, opting to trust his judgment on what areas he needed to work on. As long as he was eating well and growing up healthily, she preferred to let him manage his extracurricular activities independently.

"…I bet our falcons can easily locate their village."

Adela paused, it was time to intervene.
