Hollywood What If Chapter 473

The CCU was a Cinematic Universe about hitmen, assassins, spies, agents, and ninjas. It was the main topic of the franchise. The audience loved it when different professions met and had a face-off.

The audience loved it even more when the pinnacles of these professions met and showcased their skills.

Wanted reached $1 billion because of the hype, and also because the protagonists of the CCU showed up in one movie. It was the most ambitious crossover that they had witnessed. It was justified why Wanted grossed over $1 billion.

And now, Grey Pictures announced that the second assembly of these protagonists would happen in the next movie, after Taken 3.

Surely, this news would make the fans excited. And it did, even though Taken 3 was still not in theaters, many people had already booked tickets to watch it.

So far, the Cinema Alliance had earned more than $6 million on ticket sales that people booked online and $13 million through phone reservations... This was the first time the Cinema Alliance witnessed how online booking brought them a huge amount of money.

Booking movie tickets online did start in the early 2000s, but it was not a popular choice because it was not convenient.

Many people still preferred buying tickets upfront or making phone reservations. Only in the 2010s did online reservations become mainstream.

Still, the Cinema Alliance was surprised by the profit they gained from this movie alone. They decided that they would give Taken 3 better treatment by increasing its number of theaters.

...

While Taken 3 was busy with promotion, Kazir didn't know why, but his car took him to his old place.

Kazir was just driving around. Scarlett was promoting Taken 3 together with the cast, so she was busy.

Kazir decided to spend some time unwinding and used his very old bumpy car. This was his first car that he bought using his hard-earned money... Not going to lie, it was so old that he couldn't recognize its brand. He was not sure whether it was a Honda or a Toyota, there were no indicators. He just knew that it was a Japanese car, and that explained why the car was still working despite its old age. Even now, Kazir had no clue about its brand.

He just called it his old bumpy car.

This car was special to him. He made sure it was always clean and well-maintained.

Kazir drove the car, going with the traffic, looking around the city.

Then, perhaps feeling nostalgic while driving the old car, it took him to his old neighborhood. The place where he bought his first house, the place where he and Cassandra lived for years.

A place that Kazir once treated as his home.

After his divorce from Cassandra, Kazir never returned to this neighborhood. He also had no intention of buying back the house because he didn't want to be reminded of how Cassandra dirtied the house with her infidelity.

He had no idea what happened to the house that he once lived in.

A few minutes later, he stopped in front of his house, and he was shocked and heartbroken by what he saw.

The house was gone. All he could see was a plot of land, with a sign that read "Lot 4 Sale."

Kazir had spent his earnings on that house because he believed he was investing in their future.

And now, that house was gone.

Kazir knew that Cassandra had sold the house, but he didn't know the house would actually disappear in just a little more than a decade.

He saw a couple of teenagers walking by and decided to ask them.

"Excuse me, do you know what happened to the house on this lot?"

"I heard the house was caught in a fire because of an electrical malfunction. The owner decided to leave and put the lot up for sale."

"I see... Thanks."

"Um, you remind me of someone. Are you an actor or something?"

"No, I'm not."

The teenagers excused themselves, leaving Kazir staring at the land lot.

Kazir weakly smiled and realized the truth. He realized that some things won't last forever.

He decided to call his father.

"Dad? Ah yes, it's me. I'm doing fine. Yeah, I just want to say that I love you. What, haha, no I'm not depressed. I just want to say how much I love you. And no, I'm not going to kill myself. Don't overreact."

Kazir chuckled. He then called his older brother.

"Yow Aaron, I love you bro... Look, just because I said I love you, it doesn't mean I'm gay."

He sighed.

He then called Scarlett to share his feelings.

"I love you, and I'm so happy that you're in my life."

He smiled and talked to Scarlett for a long time. The two promised to spend time with each other once Scarlett returned to Los Angeles.

Kazir glanced at the land lot one last time before driving away. He had no intention of buying the lot. He had moved on. Besides, now that he saw the place again, he realized that it was actually too small. There was no space to build a pool at all. He could find a better place to build another house. He was a billionaire, for God's sake... Well, a billionaire who was currently driving an unspecified old bumpy car.

One thing was certain, Kazir was happy with his life. He had achieved his dream. He was at the top of Hollywood, recognized by the people as one of the best directors of all time. He still had some things he wanted to achieve. But so far, he never regretted his decisions, just like he never regretted leaving his house.
