Chapter Thirty-three [The first days of Winter]

Little Robert likes to observe the ice flakes as they approach their front house's cold crystal surface. After spending the entire day formulating plans and discussing ideas for ways to find answers to jobs from the good old days that needed to be accomplished before winter set in, the howling wind that night seemed like a soothing sound for a tired, weary mind.

“We are unable to begin since winter will arrive before we act, honey, despite knowing how many duties there have to complete.”

That evening after dinner, Rhoda remarks.

While Rhoda breastfed her child next to him on the bed, Rudolf started to mull it over in his head numerous times in silence. Robert is still getting acclimated to the cold weather and is unable to move around freely, so he needs to act swiftly to stop shivering.

“Honey, I remember those days from long ago when I was still a young man and it was also winter.”
