When Seth arrived, Maya was sitting at her desk, looking through some papers. Lifting her head and seeing the look on her face, she sighed and asked: “They refused?”
Seth nodded and walked towards her, looking through the papers in front of her: “They did. What is all this?”
“Your work.” Said Maya with a smile. “We’ve created a few governments to care for mundane matters, but some important stuff still has to pass through me.”
Seth turned the pile of papers towards him and spoke to the system. ‘Scan them for me and make the best decisions in the long run.’
For the next ten minutes, Seth kept signing papers nonstop, some of them being rejected and others approved. Maya looked at him once he was done and asked: “You know you’re also supposed to read them?”
Seth smiled and moved to pull her up from the chair. “I had someone smarter do it for me. So, are you free now?”
