Seth returned a few hours later to find Panther still in her cat form. The moment he appeared inside the room, the tiny cat dove into the water and hid behind Caitlin.
“Seth, can we speak about this?” asked Panther in an anxious voice.
Seth raised an eyebrow and looked between the two as he asked: “Did you not manage to recover enough energy to recover your human form? Well, no matter, your cat form will also do.”
His words made the cat’s eyes widen, and even Caitlin had a weird look as she instinctively moved her hands to protect Panther behind her.
“No, no. I can turn.” Added Panther immediately when she noticed Seth coming closer, her tiny body gathering energy from the pool as it grew in size. Her paws turned into human limbs, and the hair on her body slowly receded inside her skin as her size grew to that of an average woman.
She quickly covered herself using her hands and avoided looking directly at Seth as she asked: “But can you give me a moment to get ready?”
