Chapter : 14

It's almost been three days since my father went out on that work, hurriedly.

Although everyone is acting calm on the outside, I know that everyone is quite tense. Even Roel visited me yesterday and even checked the condition of the house. Something very dangerous seems to be going on.

I didn't experience the blackout like before but I am not able to get anything with being low-key, especially after this panic.

I needed to move, there were hardly around 10 days left before my 6th birthday, no my mana awakening day.

I have to find the culprit before that, or else the event will be postponed and a lot of answers to my questions will be left unattended.

'I cannot ask Jenny for help because she might start doubting, I have to do it in such a way that someone strong enough to kill him knows about his identity with proof. That means I have to act like a helper from outside. That is out of option which means I have to lure him with some bait, but who will be the bait? That guy seems to be behind something, I first have to find out what is he behind in our house.' I thought.

I went towards my mother's room and noticed something strange, there was a figure lurking near the corridor, and the only place that the brown corridor opens into is the Stellar. The figure was moving stealthily and was acting normal, that guy walked as though he was doing something perfectly normal. 'Why didn't my mother notice anything strange, I didn't know that, is that guy's stealth that good,'; my mind was going crazy over these thoughts, but something like a wave appeared again and I regained my calm. My mind suddenly throbbed, 'danger' I thought, the figure seemed to have noticed me, it quickly turned towards me and dashed after me like a mad goat, it was fast way too fast, I quickly tried to open the room's door, I couldn't do it, I tried again but still I couldn't do it.

The figure appeared beside me and loomed over me. My heart started to beat fast, but the wave once again appeared and washed away all the feeling.

The figure that appeared beside me just stood still, I was still feeling the danger sign, but not from the figure or to be exact from the shadow, 'where is it then' I thought.

"Young lord, the lady has gone out for a while, please return to your room it's dangerous, here, " the voice said. This voice was Jon's.

'Wait if he is Jon, and he is trying to protect me then from whom am I receiving this signal.' I thought.

I looked at the place where the shadow was first seen, and that's when I noticed another figure, he was not visible at all, it was like he was covered in a mist.

His gaze fell towards us, his red pupils which looked devilish the only thing seen, he looked at us for quite some time, and uttered " Don't be a hindrance to my plan" he said.

'This voice, it was the one I heard when I was experiencing the illusion' I thought.

He then disappeared from there without leaving behind any trace.

Jon then sighed, "I need to get rid of him soon, "

He then turned towards me, "I'm sorry young lord, but you need to forget this" he said and placed his index finger on my forehead, I felt a wave enter my body and I fell asleep.

SCENE CHANGE..-

Inside a dark cave that seemed more like an opening to something bigger, was a man who wore a beak-like mask.

He had a greenish paste-like substance present on his chest part.

"Hmm, so the Ishtart packed you a strong punch it seems," a scarred man asked.

"Alpha, contact Xen I need to talk to him." the man said, without responding to his question.

"But isn't Xen on the Ishtart manor, are you sure you want to take the risk? if they found out; you do know that they might track our location right?" Alpha asked.

"Don't worry about unnecessary things, and do as I said" the man said in an annoyed tone.

A dense mist quickly appeared near them as a voice answered.

"I didn't think that you would call me, not after what had happened, by the way, is your chest alright?" the voice asked.

"It's alright, that bastard is quite strong, well it is what it is, I wanted to fight him but, the three house lords were gathered. It would become quite troublesome, that too not after we just obtained the ember stone. Anyway have located the presence?" the man asked.

"I have, it is located in their stellar, but the protection around it is very strong, it might take some time to decode it, it even has an array trap" the man replied.

"Hmm an array trap you say, it must be the work of that woman Anna, che, try to get her to weaken it, the only way you can break the array is by using the blood of any members of the family. You can't take both Zenith's or Anna's, so you have to use that child's blood, I don't think all three are possible, try to weaken the array using the ornament." the man said.

"By the way did you kill that Jon guy?" the man asked.

"Hmm a kid is posing so much danger, very interesting, kill him off first, but not in the premises of the manor, somewhere in the forest." the man said, "and I am reminding you, be sure to have an information or item or whatever, worth for the in 'thing' in the Ishtart's stellar." the man said and quickly waved his hand, the mist disappeared as he fell back into his bed, 'Tough times, tough times' the man thought.

SCENE BACK..-

I was currently sitting in my room's bed. I thought about yesterday's events,' I heard Jon tell, I would need you to forget that incident, but I clearly remembered it. I also felt a warmth-like energy rushing towards my brain, so I must have forgotten my memories of yesterday, but I still remember, how?' I thought.

'Is it because of that strange energy in me which maybe nullified it.' I thought.

'Very interesting, I must test this ability of mine when the time comes', but for now I must focus myself on that figure.' If Jon isn't the enemy then, who is? Their objective is probably somewhere in the house, but where; hmm now that I remember I saw the figure coming from the stellar, is something there on the stellar?, is it dangerous?, is that why the eagle and my mind warned me when I went near the stellar, I had a lot of questions, but still I confirmed something, their objective seems to be what is behind the stellar, the only way to stop him and drive him away is to kill him. But that for now is going to be very difficult, the next thing will be to lure him and then drive him away or to do a confrontation.

I thought for a long time, although I could lure him, the chances of me getting slaughtered is high, so the last option seemed best. Although executing this plan would need a lot of patience, this method would bring the culprit to light and would also drive him away.

I unknowingly smirked 'tomorrow is going to be a thrilling day' I thought.
