When Chi Lian dies on her earth, she wakes up in the body of another girl with the same name as her on a different earth. One with empires and royal families. Poor and desperate to survive, she is bound to a virtual pet system that can access technology from its home planet for her to use.

With Chi Lian, Muyang and the children going away for a short vacation, everyone suddenly realized that it was awfully quiet at home.

Not only was it abnormally silent, it was painfully silent. The pain was as a result of missing the children they had all grown attached to.

The old master, his wife and Muyang's parents had followed the Chi's to their home.  The adults were all sitting in the living room, watching television or playing chess while sipping some tea and others wine quietly.

"It's too quiet." the old madam said with a sigh.

She missed Mei-Mei so much, the little girl was always full of life. Everywhere she went, laughter followed.

"That's because the children are not around." her husband answered without looking at her.

His head was deep in concentration on the game of chess in front of him.  He was playing against Papa Chi while Muyang's father watched them from the side.
