Chi Lian could smell the tantalizing aroma of food which teased her stomach and beckoned her to go in search of the old madam so that she could take a peek.

"Grandma," she called, in a coquettish voice as soon as she stepped into the kitchen.

The old madam spun around with a broad smile on her face and immediately opened her arms wide. "Baby,"

"Grandmother!!" She said again, lowering her voice and sounding even more coquettish and child like as she launched herself gently into the old madam's arms.

"I was so worried about you, how could you go to such a dangerous place? Do you know how worried I have been? I will never allow you to do this again."
