46 – A Feeling

"Are you sure you're staying here, Az?" Bonnie asked the flora girl three days after she joined us.

Azalea, working on a green doll made of plant parts, smiled. "I'm better suited to be in one place. Half of my body is a plant, after all. I will recover my power faster by being in the same place."

"I see." Bonnie turns to Liz, who is doing one last check on the E.E.S. "Don't bully your junior, Liz."

"It's okay." The mechanic answered. "She is more reliable than you, Bonnie. I'm safer with her."

Bonnie frowned at Liz. "What did you say?"

"While you're here and the others are away, you're just sleeping and playing around. I'm the one doing the surveillance work."

The tiny girl was at a loss for words. "That's…"

"just kidding." Liz tapped her colleague on the shoulder. Despite saying that, the mechanic still didn't show any meaningful expression. "I'm learning that stuff. I think it's called roasting."
