Chapter 2: The Descent

Jiok stood in front of the door, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew there was no turning back now. He had to face whatever lay beyond that door if he wanted to survive the game.

Taking a deep breath, he opened door and stepped through. The room beyond was dark, lit only by a single candle in the center. Jiok approached the candle and saw that there was a piece of paper next to it.

He picked up the paper and read the words written on it.

"Welcome to Jiokui Geim. You have entered the first level. To survive, you must face your fears and desires. Only by doing so will you be able to move on to the next level. Remember, everything is real. There is no escape."

Jiok felt a chill run down his spine. He had heard that the game was intense, but he had never imagined it would be like this. He looked around the room, trying to see if there was anything he could use as a weapon or tool, but it was empty except for the candle and the paper.

He heard a sound behind him and spun around, ready to defend himself. But there was nothing there. He shook his head, trying to clear his mind. He couldn't let his imagination run wild. He had to focus on the task at hand.

Taking a deep breath, he began to move forward, careful to watch his step. The ground beneath his feet was uneven, and he didn't want to trip and fall.

As he moved deeper into the level, he saw a figure in the distance. It was a woman, and she seemed to be in distress. Jiok hesitated for a moment, wondering if it was a trap, but he couldn't ignore someone in need.

He approached the woman, and as he got closer, he saw that she was trapped in a cage. She was crying and pleading with him to help her.

Jiok looked around, trying to find a way to free her. But the cage was locked, and there was no key in sight. He began to feel a sense of frustration and helplessness. He couldn't just leave her there, but he didn't know how to help her.

Suddenly, he heard a voice behind him.

"If you want to free her, you must face your fear."

Jiok turned around and saw a figure standing in the shadows. He couldn't make out who it was, but he could tell that it was a man.

"What fear?" Jiok asked.

"Your fear of failure," the man replied. "You must overcome it if you want to succeed."

Jiok felt a sense of confusion. How could he overcome his fear of failure? He had always been afraid of failing, and he didn't know how to change that.

The man stepped out of the shadows, and Jiok saw that he was holding a small knife.

"You must use this knife to free the woman," the man said. "But be careful. If you fail, you will be trapped here forever."

Jiok hesitated for a moment, but then he took the knife from the man's hand. He knew that he had no choice but to try.

He approached the cage and began to work on the lock. His hands were shaking, and he was afraid that he would make a mistake. But he focused on his task and managed to unlock the cage.

The woman stepped out, thanking him profusely. Jiok felt a sense of relief and satisfaction. He had overcome his fear of failure and had succeeded in freeing the woman.

But his victory was short-lived. As soon as the woman was free, she transformed into a monstrous creature and attacked him.
