Chapter 13: The Depths of Darkness

Jiok and his companions had been wandering the strange and twisted landscape of the Game of Hell for what felt like days. They had encountered all manner of horrors, from grotesque monsters to treacherous terrain, but nothing could have prepared them for what lay ahead.

As they traversed a particularly treacherous stretch of rocky terrain, they suddenly found themselves at the edge of a gaping chasm. Below them, the darkness was absolute, and they could hear the distant sound of rushing water echoing up from the depths.

Jiok peered over the edge, his heart pounding in his chest. He knew that they had to cross the chasm if they were to continue on their journey, but the sheer drop was daunting.

Taking a deep breath, Jiok turned to his companions. "We have to cross this," he said, his voice firm. "But we need to be careful."

Working together, they fashioned a makeshift rope bridge using the ropes and grappling hooks they had acquired on their journey. As they carefully made their way across the bridge, the darkness below seemed to grow thicker and more oppressive, as if it were trying to swallow them whole.

At last, they made it to the other side, panting and shaking with adrenaline. But as they began to move forward once more, they couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched from the shadows. The Game of Hell was far from finished with them yet.
