Chapter 5: The Beginning of a New Kingdom.

"Alright men and women of the Archten Army. We are in search of a new base. Let us not dilly dally. On your feet let's move. " Eya said as she instructed them. Several hours has passed since they all left the campsite. Panna was excited as she was eager to get off her feet and rest. The army did pass by the outskirts of some smaller towns.

The people waved and heard of Fafir's recent speech some children even wanted to join Fafir. They asked their parents even. "Hoho I'm afraid not sweety. Our Lord is much too busy, I'm sure when all is said and done there may be a big parade with cakes, balloons and even a party." The mother said to her small child. Fafir waved to the other kids and hugged all the little ones that came up to him. He shooed the little tikes back to their parents and kept going.

"Aww Faffy. That little girl gave you the biggest hug. Ya big softy hehehe. Soon that'll be us. Oh I can't wait!! But first what are your plans for this new base? What will we do once we arrive to the designated area?" The Great Queen asked her husband. Fafir placed a hand on his chin and chuckled. He had in mind a place for his troops, scientists and prisoners even, but the rest was hazy. A small group of troops went ahead of Fafir and ceased the march.

"Halt!! Archten Army guard Lord Fafir and Lady Panna. We have spotted according to the scouts some rather unusual hostility in this area. Be on your guard people!!" The brave soldier shouted. "Hmm..this area now that you mention it had some history about it. Long ago say..a few decades back.

There was a rumor of a mighty Ulmus creature, one that was able to walk on its hind legs like a man. We all know Ulmus are as big or if not bigger than the earthling elephant, but this one..whew boy. He is the BIGGEST AND BADDEST of them all. The townspeople of Shiqua Sala are very familiar with him." Fafir noted. This only made Eya have her mages and subordinates conjured up familiars and puppets of their own to brave the unknown danger that awaited them.

"My love..could these Ulmus creatures be friendly? When I was a little girl my father would often place me on the backs of such a beast. That and its fur did cover its eyes. Oh Fasha..I miss you." Panna said as she wiped a single tear from her eyes. "Fasha? Was it a pet to your kin Panna?" Fafir asked. She nodded her head and smiled. "Yes..she was very large and friendly as big as a Hunting Hut even. She passed due to old age. She was three hundred years old. Oh how I miss her." The scarlet haired woman lamented.

"I am sorry my love, let us prepare ourselves in case that rumored beast happens to appear. I been needing to destroy something for a bit. Ever since poor Numanag was defeated. I will get her back as well. " Fafir said as the soliders walked into the woods ahead. A few blue furred Ulmuses walked about carrying the soliders in tow. "Aww what cute whittle babies oooh. I wonder if Momma is not too far away.

I bet she's worried about them." Panna said as a blue furred Ulmus used its furry elephant like trunk to sniff the soliders and their weapons. Once one of the babies got too close to Fafir it immediately raised its trunk and blew a mighty sound similar to a trumpet. The soliders were amazed as how Fafir's title as Lord of Beasts came into play. The other baby ulmuses formed a circle around Fafir shoving aside his guarding soliders.

"Wow. They must've always remembered their lord. Makes since. Be at peace little Ulmi. I am passing through with my army. Will you fetch your mother for me?" Fafir asked the creatures in a unknown tounge. The baby Ulmus understood him and rushed off. Fafir instructed his soliders to return to his side. They did as instructed and witness. A massive gargantuan Ulmus. The mother of the babies Fafir and Panna have already met. Her fur was a magnificent royal blue. Her eyes a piercing yellow and her trunk was long and strong. The momma Ulmus walked towards Fafir and sniffed him.

" My Lord should we strike? This beast seems rather..suspicious. " Eya responded. Fafir shook his head no and nuzzled the beast's trunk. " I remember you when you were the size of a small toy. Look how mighty you have grown. And your lot is beautiful as well. I search for a place were me and my army may build and rest. Can you lead us to it?" Fafir asked the big creature. The Momma Ulmus lifted up her trunk into the air and blew a sound so loud it was almost deafening. Soon after she picked up Panna and Fafir. The beast placed them on her back. Fafir had his troops follow closely behind. The baby Ulmuses tooted their trunks and gingerly played with some of the armoured soldiers.

Hours had passed as the mighty beast cautiously walked passed the tall trees and the shrubs. Soon the mother Ulmus rested at a vast open field perfect for building. She lowered herself to her knees and gently removed her new riders. Panna hugged the mother Ulmus' trunk and kissed her good night. The babies however were energetic and ready to play. Before they could get unpacked. A scout shouted something but no one seemed to have heard it.

" What did he say?" A soldier wonder. Then the momma woke up and blew her mighty trunk once again. This was a signal. She used her amazing strength to break through solid rock. Instantly she created a whole new cave. The soliders stood their ground as some mages and Pannamyth Squadron members escorted Fafir and Panna in for safety. Night began to fall upon the densely forested land. A strange train like sound was blaring not to far from the army's current location.

"FOWWOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!" The sound grew louder and louder as massive thuds shook the very ground. The mother Ulmus held her babies tightly and did not want one to leave the cave. Tall trees were being spread apart like curtains. As soon as the thuds stop. The soliders who stood ready for an attack let their guard down. They sheathed their swords and laughed at the imminent danger like it was nothing. That was until a beastly roar followed by a mighty slap send some of the foolish troops into a nearby mountainside.

Those that remained in the cave caught the full sight of a beast very similar if not spot on to what Fafir describe hours earlier. What emerged in the moonlight was a Ulmus. This one was covered in black fur from it's head to its feet. It stood on it's hind legs and was far bigger than a skyscraper. It's trunk was short yet possibly more powerful than any other before it.

Once it moved a step further the beast was shown to be far more muscular than anyone would have guess. This was demonstrated as a soldier stabbed the blackened beast in the calf doing no damage. Instead this angered it even more. Fafir took a stand and walked outside having a look see at the mighty beast for himself. Panna tried to stop him along with his troops, but the Momma Ulmus placed her heavy trunk in the way.

The area became more tense as the blacken beast ceased its rampage and looked at Fafir. It's eerie white eyes stared also in Fafir's steely grey eyes. Both were intimidating figures in their own right, but Fafir was a deity. The beasts yielded to his authority all except this creature. "So..your the one who thinks he's big and bad eh? Well Legendary Obsidian Ulmus, thought you may have had your way for years. Today it ends. Bow to your god beast!!" Fafir said trying to subdue the powerful beast.

"RRRROOOOOAAARRR!!" The Obsidian Ulmus roared as it punched Fafir with all it's might. It's punch landed and didn't even phase the deity instead Fafir flicked the beast with one finger and send it to its backside. The beast was angry and charged again. Fafir dodged each and every attack. He figure he should humor the supposed "legendary" creature before he made it yield to his will. "Hmm. Seems I may have to injure you to get you to listen. A broken leg should do." Fafir thought and with that one thought. Fafir used his own strength to snap the raging beast's leg in half. The large creature stopped and roared in pain. Quickly it's bones regenerated and became all the more stronger. Fafir seemed happy. He put his fists up and prepared himself for a fight.

"Perfect training for that fated day..I can't wait. If I win..you will serve me and your queen and the Archten Army monster. If I lose then you may continue to roam free. How's that sound. " The Obsidian Ulmus spat out green ooze from its mouth and lunged at Fafir as a response. "Typical creature. Always roaring and causing ceaseless violence. Well I am Lord of Beasts so you had to learn it from me. I guess. Oh well come at me then." Fafir nonchalantly said as the beast landed each and every punch on Fafir's body. None seemed to hurt him though. All it really took was stamina. Fafir played with the creature and dodged most of the titanic behemoth's deadly attacks. Soon the creature tired and fell to its knees.

Due to its large muscular frame and size. The Obsidian Ulmus unwisely swunged it's attacks willy nilly. The beast lowered its head and submitted to Fafir who struck the beast so hard a massive hole was all that was left through it's thick skull. The others watched as Fafir wiped away the green blood from his hand. All those in the cave including the Momma Ulmus and her babies bowed before his might.

Fafir stood victorious and smiled. Panna cleaned her husband's bloody hand and asked what to do now about the body. "Simple. I will resurrect him and yes it's an boy. It's um..junk was fully exposed. Kinda made it hard to fight not gonna lie. Alright everyone. Tomorrow we will build. Scientists I want this Obsidian Ulmus alive and well understand?! As for the rest of you assume your positions and patrol the perimeters. If anyone that is not us comes here. Kill them or beat them until they can barely move. Got it!! Fafir roared striking fear into his subordinates.

Fafir formed a small little makeshift hut for himself to rest and meditate in. He had Panna rest in there with him as in this space, time moved very fast. Soon Fafir would have to be ready. He figured if he did this he would be able to afford saving a possible future for his future kin and those that came after.
