Chapter two

The lady's brow furrowed and someone else's brow furrowed as well. Yoon Ae-jung was sure that this wasn't Ji-woon's voice.

'Who is this?' She thought to herself. She tried to glance at him but was scared that even the slightest drop of paint could cause eye irritation so she waited patiently to be sure this wasn't Ji-woon.

"huh?" the ladies began to murmur amongst themselves.

"He is Ji-woon?"

"I didn't know Ji-woon underwent plastic surgery."

"This is impossible."

"They probably share the same name."

"What a coincidence."

Ji-woon's wife's brow furrowed. She was confused by what he was saying.

Seeing her doubtful expression, Park Jae-jin turned and crouched to the level of the lady who sat on the floor. "Baby, what's happening here? You didn't tell me you were having a get-together with your friends. Besides, isn't this too extreme?"

Yoon Ae-jung was star-struck for a moment. She didn't know how to respond to this stranger's statement.

"They... they... are not my friends."

"Never mind. You are covered in paint. It must be uncomfortable for you to speak." seeing her pathetic state, he removed his phone and dialed a number.

"Hello, there has been an incident in your hotel. My fiancee has been bullied by some strangers." all the while,

Everyone began to pick up their bags with the hope of escaping the chaos that was about to unfold. Sadly, the security was already by the door.

"I... I only came to watch the commotion. I'm not part of this." the perpetrators began to give false excuses.

Park Jae-jin focused his attention on the girl on the floor. He wondered why he decided to meddle in this incident when everyone knew him to be someone who never cared about others but himself.

He crouched to her level and helped her up. 'You are one lucky girl.' He thought to himself.

"What should we do with them, sir?" The security asked.

Park Jae-jin looked at the security guards and with just one glance, they knew what they had to do. After all, who dared mess with Park Jae-jin's fiancee and go scout free?

"These ladies just made a mistake they wouldn't be able to recover from in a long time." one of the guards whispered to the other.

Ji-woon's wife stood there short of words. She had thought that her husband was cheating with this girl but it turned out that there was a mix-up and now, she is caught up within the lines.

Park Jae-jin walked out of the room with Yoon Ae-jung in his arms. They both walked into the elevator and he pressed the button that would take them to the parking lot.

As soon as the elevator began to move downwards, a teardrop fell from Yoon Ae-jung's eye.

This was the first time she was humiliated this much. She hated herself, in fact, she hated the whole world for being against her. Why did he not tell her that he was married and with kids?

'Sniff'

Park Jae-jin passed her his handkerchief with an indifferent look on his face. He didn't ask any questions nor did he look like he was even interested in knowing.

"Thank you." the elevator stopped but neither of them went out.

The elevator was about to close again but she placed her hand in between the door to prevent it from closing.

"Thank you for helping me out." after that, she removed his jacket and looked at it. It was badly stained with paint.

She sighed and passed him her card. "I'll have this dry cleaned. Please call me." after saying this, she walked out of the elevator without waiting for a response.

He watched her as she walked away. The door of the elevator closed stopping him from seeing what direction she went but he didn't seem bothered at all.

He pressed the button that took him to the rooftop of the building. He looked at the card and saw the name written on it, "Yoon Ae-jung." a slight smile crept on his face as he placed the card in his pocket but then, the side of his eyes picked up on something lying on the floor.

He bent on picked up the ID card on the floor and found the same name, Yoon Ae-jung. "She must have dropped it when she was removing her card from her bag," he whispered.

He looked at the image on the ID card and commented with a straight face before putting it in his pocket, "Ugly."
