Sarah jolted out of her chair, a sudden sense of dread washing over her. "Sasha!" she cried out, grasping her sister's trembling shoulder and hand. Sasha's eyes were rolled back in her head, her body convulsing as if something sinister had taken hold of her. Heart racing, Sarah raced out of the room, her feet pounding on the cold hospital floor.
"Help!" she screamed, her voice echoing down the sterile hallway. "My sister...something's wrong!" A chill ran down her spine as she imagined the worst. Was it an evil spirit, haunting her sister's body? Or was it something even more terrifying, something beyond the realm of comprehension?
The nurses were quick to respond, rushing into Sasha's room with a sense of urgency. Sarah could only stand by helplessly, her heart in her throat as she waited for news of her sister's fate. The air was thick with foreboding, and Sarah could feel the weight of an unseen presence bearing down upon her.
Her hands were shaking in fear as she watched her sister convulse uncontrollably in bed. Sasha's eyes rolled back into her head, and her limbs thrashed wildly as if possessed by some malevolent force.
The nurses scrambled around the room, trying to stabilize Sasha and calm her down. Sarah felt a sense of helplessness wash over her as she watched the medical professionals work frantically to save her sister's life. The air was thick with tension and fear, and she could feel her heart pounding in her chest as she prayed for Sasha's recovery.
Sarah's eyes were glued to her sister's thrashing body on the bed, unsure of how to help. 'Sasha, can you hear me?' she called out, but there was no response.
She desperately wanted to stay and make sure everything was going to be okay, but at the same time, the sight of her sister's contorted figure was too much to bear.
"What's happening to her?" she asked the nurses, her voice shaking with fear. One of the nurse politely moved her to the back so they could work more efficiently. "We're not sure yet," one of the them replied, "but we're doing everything we can to stabilize her". Sarah nodded, feeling helpless and scared.
After what felt like an eternity, Sasha finally stopped convulsing, and her breathing started to get steadier. The medical professionals let out a breath of relief. Sarah quickly wiped away her tears and approached the bed. "Sasha, are you okay? What happened?" she asked, her voice trembling with emotion.
Sasha's eyes finally slowly fluttered open, and she looked confused for a moment before recognition dawned on her face. "I...I don't know. I felt like something was pulling me away," she whispered weakly.
Despite her confusion, Sasha's body felt weak and unresponsive, likely a result of the seizure episode she had just experienced moments ago. As she struggled to get up, she turned to her sister and asked, 'Sarah, where are we?' Her eyes darted around the room, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings and the medical professionals bustling around them.
The nurses exchanged a worried glance, and one of them stepped forward. "We'll need to run some tests and monitor her for a while. It's possible that she had a seizure, but we won't know for sure until we get the results," the nurse explained.
Sarah nodded, her heart still racing with fear. She couldn't bear the thought of losing her sister, and she silently prayed that everything would be alright.
Sarah's voice quivered as she looked at her sister with a forced smile, trying to hide the fear that was gnawing at her heart. "It's okay, Sash. You'll be fine. I'm right here with you," she whispered, gently squeezing her sister's hand.
Confusion etched on Sasha's face, her brows furrowed and her mind was foggy, she was still oblivious about her condition. Sarah moved away from the bed to give space to the professionals to attend her sister.
They immediately began conducting various tests to determine the cause of her seizure. Sarah watched anxiously as they hooked Sasha up to monitors and took samples of her blood and urine.
After a while, a doctor approached Sarah and said,"Excuse me, Miss, I'm Dr. Jameson, and I'm the one taking in charge of your sister," he took a glance at the clipboard in his hand then back to her, "We'll need to run some tests to understand what's going on with her. We'll be performing an EEG and an MRI scan to look for any abnormalities in her brain that could be causing the seizures."
Sarah nodded, her eyes still fixated on Sasha's frail form on the bed. "Okay, doctor. Whatever it takes to make her better."
"We'll do our best," Dr. Jameson said with a reassuring smile. "We'll have to start with the EEG first. It won't take long, and we'll need to attach some electrodes to her scalp to measure the electrical activity in her brain. It's painless, and she won't feel a thing."
Sarah looked at him with worry, hearing the electrical activities makes her scared of what going to happen, but she knew that she need to trust the doctor, "Okay, thank you," Sarah said as she watched the doctor and his team get to work. She could see Sasha's eyes fluttering as they attached the electrodes to her scalp, and she couldn't help but feel a knot forming in her stomach.
As the tests began, Sarah left the room and sat in the waiting room, her mind racing with worry. She couldn't help but think about all of the worst-case scenarios. What is going on with Sasha? Is this really just health concern, or is this related to the problem Sasha brought up before?
Hours passed before a doctor finally approached Sarah. "We've finished running the tests," the doctor said. "Sasha's EEG and MRI scans show no abnormalities in her brain, but we need to do more testing to determine the cause of her seizures."
The news was both relieving and terrifying. Sarah was relieved that there was nothing bad with Sasha, but then, what is it that made her like that?
After the talking session with the doctor, Sarah felt heavy in her heart. She walked out of the hospital to take some fresh air, and texted her parents about Sasha's wellbeing, but told them to not worry too much because she knew it would ache their heart.
Sarah then walked back to Sasha's ward room, but to her surprise, there was a stranger standing next to her.
