chapter 20 her new journey 2

Every man builds his world in his own image. He has the power to choose, but no power to escape the necessity of choice. ~ Ayn Rand

"What happened just now?" Arẹwa couldn't believe it as the lady suddenly twisted her finger and threw a thin, sharp light in Arẹwa's direction, but she was able to defend herself.

"You're not the prophetess, are you? "The odd lady asked "I am but you won't understand" when asked why she had summoned her. "I just tested you but I realized you didn't have adequate magic as a prophetess," she said. "If you are not the prophetess, you might not survive this journey, "she cautioned Arẹwa.

"journey?" Yes, I have called you here to inform you of the secrets your ancestors have kept from you as well as the lies they have fed you about us, the beasts. We both have the position and I am the future prophetess of the tribe of the beast. and both held the same future I decided to summon you to tell you what has been kept from you for many years and continues to harm me and grieve my heart," she added, noticing that Arẹwa was greatly frightened. "Look into my eyes," she said, and Arẹwa did as she instructed.

"There is nothing to be afraid of, I'll surrender my powerful chain; trust me," she said while lowering her gorgeous golden eyes "I don't trust you, but if I don't I had no other options either, so I'm doing this for my people. The journey is for my people and yours." Arẹwa stated

The beast lady encouraged Arẹwa to enter, assuring her that everything would be okay, as a peculiar light covered a range of entrances that resembled an abandoned hut. Arẹwa complies with the request.

Arẹwa enters the entrance and then realizes she is in another realm. She sees a small hut and moves closer to it before realizing everything is just a delusion. At that moment, a woman emerges wearing clothing that is similar to but more reminiscent of ancient attire, and she kneels to greet the approaching man with a sack and hunting robe on her opposite.

The woman grinned and said, "Welcome husband! I'm glad you're back, wife." He said, "The woman opted to hug him

"No, don't," he pleaded, "I need to take my bath... take this in there's enough bush meat to eat and sell.. where is my son?"

"Come in; he's out with friends," the woman replied as she assisted her husband in taking off his robe.

"Greetings to the owner of this hut," a voice from inside the hut said. When Arewa looked outside and understood they were a royal messenger due to the special staff, the lady whispered, "Oh, it's the duke's messenger," and they both followed the messenger to the duke's palace, saying,

...

"Hey, you ungrateful fellow"They are accused by the Dukes

One of the chiefs remarked, "You in fact ungrateful creature," adding,

"You both to were honored here because we respect you because you are from the Oyo Empire the owner of the great palace the son of Atiba...my forefathers were also from the empire before he built this city but you disgrace me, your son came into my den to harm my prince I didn't know you are here to ruin my future my only future to build a great kingdom...You are to be thrown into prison, " the duke said angrily

"Because of my respect to where your both born, leave this city and never return and never leave a single pin." Arẹwa feels sorry for them because this illusion was based on the Fadaka kingdom's history. She is aware of this history, but she wonders why it is repeating itself in this way. When the couple encountered their son at home, the mother was irritated and reprimanded the young boy, However, the father retorts, "Leave my son alone; he is a great lion who will always conquer the jungle... hahaha" he laughs as he praises the son.

"What did you mean... did you mean we should return to Oyo empire where I left the palace to follow you..if we return back the great king is going to kill you and punish me I can't avoid to lose you and my son," she said pleading,

"No, we're going to create our own universe; let's move on" They continue their long journey, which seems to have taken a week, but Arẹwa knows it didn't because everything happened so quickly like watching a entertaining drama. They eventually settled in the woods and constructed a hut.
